Seeing this direct comparison, I stick to my guns : this new Joker from Hot Toys (let's consider it the same as the future DX release) is far better than their previous ones, even better than the JND one...but InArt is still ahead.
    For some reasons.
First, the overall likeness. Yeah there's something a bit wrong with InArt's eyes, but you can correct it just by woving them...to make them more realistic and accurate, Heath always had his eyes looking up at you with his head leaning forward. But even considering that, Hot Toys still struggle with Heath Ledger's likeness. It's, once again, far better than the Dx11, but not quite right. The hairline isn't correct, the shape of the cheeks and the chin/jawline isn't either, and the expression doesn't help at all. But the eyes are a bit better than InArt's, even though to me it's not enough to balance everything.
Other problem, the scarring. Especially his right scar. On the Hot Toys, it's not accurate, it really looks like two edges over his skin instead of something carved into it and that would've had poorly scarred... And the paint doesn't help at all.
By the way, let's talk about the paint. The fact that Hot Toys' paintjob seems sharper than InArt's one... Is a flaw to me. 'cause it becomes too detailled, and wrongly detailled at a point where it's no longer realistic or accurate to how Heath generally was in the movie. It's kinda too detailled not to appear toyetic. Not enough details, and it's toyetic, too much details, and it's toyetic. I mean, yeah it's cool to have details, but if it's not accurate or even logical...it's just over the top, and here, it's over the top. Just looking at pictures of Heath in the movie shows it.
The red on the mouth and scars, especially on his right, is too clean. It accentuate the flaw that is the scar itself.
The black around the eyes, especially its transitions on the white under the eyes... Is off. It's just black on white, without having any skin color poking through at the logical wrinkles were moves and sweat would've had an impact onto the make up. There already was this problem with their previous releases. But I quite like how it appears on the part above the eyes
The white itself doesn't hit me as a problem, but I still would've like more pronunced, 'cause if it looks like that with a light on him, I don't think it would really by enough under normal lighting (for example, the InArt here seems clearly a quite bright white where in reality it's a bit darker, more muted). It would've reinforce the erased look a bit by marking a sharper contrast between the make up and the skin.
The skin color transition on the neck and the hairline is great. But on the parts where it's poking through at the wrinkles on the forehead... Not so much at all. Again, it's too sharp, and too clean. It's just slightly curved lines, with nearly no imperfections. In reality, again, sweat should've made it messier, and quite in a wider way, like the InArt one. Especially with this style of make up, where it's not "clean" as opposed as (for example)how it is in the mob meeting scene... Even more, it looks weird considering it looks like erased make up from a fresh base, so the make-up should've been completely clean to, at least a bit, match this kind of marks.
A thing about the general texture....again, too sharp, against any logic. Think about it, if you put a lot of clown make-up on your face, it will become less clearly textured. The skin pores won't appear as much, all skin marks either. It should be far more subtle. It has to be sharp enough to be visible (it must not be like older Hot Toys headsculpts, where skin texture was only painted) but not too much to throw off the logic and "ruin" the look.
The expression... I guess will work for specific poses, but make the headsculpt quite less accurate to Heath, 'cause he doesn't really specifically make this expression. But it's still pretty good.
As said before about the hair, the hairline isn't right. But I like the color and the overall look, even though I'm not a fan of the volume of it, especially on the top right part of his head.
Yeah, everything may appear like nit-picking, but that's the point of sharing diverse opinions, so that everyone can show how he/she/they see.s things
In conclusion, it will be a great improvement over their previous ones, and a really solid alternative to the current best one (InArt) for people that don't have it for whatever reasons. Either way and no matter each one's opinion, the most important is that people are happy.

@@Maxime_G this is an absolutely amazing insight thank you! Some really good detail into the different elements of each sculpt and I find myself agreeing with your points. Personally I’m really happy to have both the InArt and the Hot Toys. Both serve a purpose for me at least as I like to do a lot of photography so offers me variation on the character. Thank you for watching 🙌 for me I like both sculpts, and as you said I think people can be happy with either the InArt if they have it or this one if they prefer.

As far as I can remember, the only scene in TDK in which the Joker does something resembling the Hot Toys mouth, is shortly after he's called a freak during the mob gathering, reacting in irritation. But then the hair and make-up don't match that scene?? These manufacturers have a tendency to produce an expression that we never see in the film, case-in-point JND's awful laughing portrait.

I prefer the hair colour and styling on the Hot Toys, the hairline on Inart, Inart's likeness, Hot Toys paint apps - they actually got the right shade of red for the lips!! The eyes on both sculpts is the weak spot, the iris' are too large, and they're too recessed on the Inart portrait. The eyes also look off in the production pictures of the JND 1/6 Joker.
