At the same time, even though she shrugs, smiles & looks like people should “just know” who she is, I know after so many years she’s still not the biggest fan of being heavily paid-attention to or “gawked” at. Or like “oohed and aahed” over… whenever interviewers try to mention her achievements or accolades, she doesn’t want to go there for fear of seeming conceited… and she’s also very quick to change the subject to other artists and their SONGS and TALENT, not their drama. She gets called a diva but she’s very much not a fan of that behavior either. If she were a regular everyday person, which inside she probably is, and she didn’t have the millions and the famous lifestyle, she’d be a talented everyday person with a voice. Would she be called a diva then?

Yeah, because during her early career days, she was dating and then married SONY CEO Tony Motterolo. He was controlling and the label didn't want her having a very revealing woredrobe. Much of what she wore back then had to keep her her body clothed and leave ALOT to the imagination!

@@marunq.g.7557 if you check elvis’ billboard chart history you’ll see he only has 7 number ones. it’s a whole debacle because billboard basically gave him some of the number he got prior to the existence of the hot 100, but they also gave him other number one songs that didn’t actually go number one. anyway, the other 10 number ones billboard has been saying he has don’t even count because they were not on the hot 100 and therefore they were not calculated based on its metrics. you can read more about it online because im not really an expert on why this happened but it’s true

why do you deluded Mariah Carey fans think the last note in lead the way is all one take? You can clearly hear the cut between “will lead (cut) the way”. And it’s even more delusional to think that the video of it being “recorded” in the studio is the original recording of that part of the song. She visibly took breaths in that video multiple times.

Ok for y’all discussing her weight in the comments… Mariah’s weight fluctuates a lot! Like literally in 2019 when she started her caution tour her face was looking a lil fluffy… but for the 2nd leg it looked like she lost about 10 lbs in the matter of just a couple months. Another example is 2015; for her Vegas residency she was a little heavier, but for the Christmas shows later that year she lost weight within the span of a few months as well. It’s just how her body operates.
If you pay attention, her body is actually constant and skinny/slim thick but that’s her face that is more or less fluffy depending on her treatment . Mariah takes medication for her bipolar disorder that has a side effect on her face . She mentioned it already .
If it wasn't for Mimi, my 2021 would be terrifying. Mariah saved my 2021 and because of Mimi, I do think that my 2022 will be far better than 2021 or even 2020. I love Mimi! ❤

I remember watching her perform it on a guest appearance of Alley McBeal TV series. She was in a club or bar where the attorneys would hang out at, and she sung the song. Due to time constraints of the show, Mariah scene of her singing transitions into a blended scene where you could hear her performing the song and Alley McBeal ice skating to the song. I was so hard on her for so long, but I have ALWAYS loved her music. I’m glad I finally came around. She has embraced her “over the top-ness” and “campiness” & now she owns my 💜.
