This woman had the absolute power of her convictions, and the entire world did her wrong at the Catholic Church's orders. She was talking about the problems with the church decades before it was all proven to be true. Utterly beautiful woman inside and out both.

She did not suffer much from that. Sounds good. She suffers from a severe personality disorder treated as bipolar and given toxic drugs for a wrong diagnosis. Her personality disorder causes her to be unhinged and her family suffers also. She lashes out at them. Her early childhood abuse from Irish families caused it. Not the world or her tearing up the photo. It was not done in the 50’s

R.i.p. Sinead O'Connor. You had a hard life, but your music brought joy to a lot of people all around the world. You didn't deserve what your parents did to you. Then dealing with the death of your son is the worst thing a parent could go through.

She shaved her head because the record company wanted her to dress and act all sexy.
But she was like nah, I'm a singer. I'm here to sing.
It was wrong what happened to her after she criticized the catholic church.
She's strong as hell, stands up for what she believes, and I admire her for it.

She's a very important influence in music, she was one of the few people to openly denounce the catholic church for doing nothing about the sexual abuse priests and people of power were committing and still commit. She was "cancelled" because of her views and few people really know about her today

    • @LizzieWhiz
      @LizzieWhiz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +29

@@anthonyv1719 WRONG! She mocked the Pope and the RC church because she had been abused as a child! Her career was CANCELLED because she exposed the RC church and their abuse of power and how they were peadophiles. Because of what she did, she started the ball rolling in the USA and people started coming out and saying how they had been abused, before this many victims were silenced legally and had no voice. The MSM ignored what had and was happening. Rose McGowan is suppose to be an advocate and voice for abused women yet when asked about working with a known convicted peadophile Victor Salvas by ADVOCATE (LGB) online magazine in 2011 she said "Oh that is none of my business! Victor is a lovely hard working man!" This was after Harvey Weinstein had RAPED her! Ask her on twitter about VS and she is SILENT....now that is a woman who does things for her own benefit!

So true, my mother was in Maryville Catholic orphage outside of Chicago due to the pandemic of 1918
Both parents died three weeks apart they were from Ireland no one to take the kids in. The suffering and beating from the nun always remain in my mother's psyche throughout the years of her life. The story she told my sister and myself always made me feel so horrible that she had to live through that even late into my mother's 80s she would tell us the story somehow just talkin about it was good therapy for her. I'm 70 years old and I still have no respect for the Catholic Church when the kids were old enough they would Farm them out to do housework in Des Plaines so they were used .If you did anything they considered wrong they would punish you by not allowing you to see your brothers for the following week .

Ironically, while I think your comment about videos distracting from the song is often true (I’m looking at you Tool), in this case, the official video for this song is just a close up of her singing straight into the camera. It’s simple and really allows the emotion of the song to shine through.
She was huge for a while then controversy (unwarranted IMHO, she got the short end of that stick) and a messy personal life struck and her career never really recovered. Regardless, she’s a spectacular singer. I highly recommend the official video for the song Troy from her first album. Her singing and the raw emotion will melt your face off. I’ve seen one other reaction to it so it might not get blocked.
I get a lot of joy from your channel. Thanks for doing your thing.

Her talent was so unbelievable and she could have continued a lifetime of music contribution..as one of the best in time.
She is so strong and a survivor.
Battling her Mental Health issues over the years and losing her Career..almost killed her.
It's so hard to find new paths.
Hurts me deeply..that her career was ended.. long before it should have.
There was never a full story investigated or explained at that time..from her side without condemnation.. before judgement.
She had said she was really young and angry..that she wished her avenue of expressing feelings could have been more appropriate.
Never that her statements were incorrect..because they were not.
The industry ruined everything with the way they handled this situation.
She did not have anyone to even help her put anything right or explain the right way.

I wish when she tore up the picture of Pope John Paul ll on SNL she would have been specific about what she was protesting. What she said was, fight the real enemy, and then tore up the picture. It was several years before we knew exactly what she was protesting. Maybe the abuse cases in Ireland were already known to people there. However, in the US the sex abuse scandal did not become public until a while after that. I admire her and love her voice and though I was working in the church at the time I did not know anyone who was upset with her. We assumed she was talking about sexism.
