You, NEVER disappoint! I am a female angler and just turned pro. My first tournament is in the beginning of March. I need to practice but the weather has been horrific. Instead of moping around I turn on TH-cam and listen/watch you as I go about my daily tasks and I actually think that I learn more about my craft than if I had fished that day. Thank you so very much!😊
Like you said about the bedding fish and the frog, you are absolutely correct and another thing I've noticed is when you can actually see the bed and the fish are just acting kinda funny and they aren't really locked on to the bed, sometimes you can throw a frog or popper right over the bed and 1 of 2 thing is going to happen. Either the fish is going to eat the frog or it's going to position itself between the frog and the bed and then you can normally go back in with a plastic or jig and the fish will be easier to catch.
Just went Bass fishing last Sunday. The first of March. Weather in the lower 50's little wind. Wanted to see if fishing with red lures works. Well, It did! Caught 15 bass in about 2.5 hrs. Started with a off colored red and translucence Wiggle wart that I found in my Father old tackle box. It produced the biggest 3 bass of the day. 1- 3 pounder and 2- 2.5 pounders. Then went to a Red craw lipless lure. It came in 2nd. Catching 5 -1 pounders. Then a red and black Chatterbait with a Green Pumpkin and Purple Sweet Beaver Trailer. Another 5 Largemouth bass. The rest of the catches were on different red baits. So, Yes The red color lures work. Shawn.
Love rapala countdown and suspending. I dipped into my saltwater stash and used 5inch zman's on a 1/4oz. swim head last week in a weedy pond and did well.
Great video I always learn watching your stuff. I am surprised that you did not recommend a large swim bait for the free spawn in the spring. I found that to be very exciting and it’s the only time of the year you can do it.
I think the best bait is whatever your most comfortable throwing or flipping, down here its gotta be weedless,in march our bass are in cover or on wood,if you get hung up then you missed out on a possible big fish
I’ve used buzzbaits to catch fish on beds the key to that tho is throwing parallel to the beds in stead of straight to a spot like normal fishing techniques.. I solid black buzz baits 99.9 percent of the time.. idk if it’s a confidence thing or that it just works booyahs buzzbait with the little clacker thing works wonders :) 😊
I just watched this video Tyler. Great info and well done! I also believe a few of those videos were taken at Alum Creek. I recognized some of the pockets you were in if i am not mistaken. See ya next Tuesday night!
Caught a 4lber in smith mountain lake in Va during the spawn last year, sight fished her right off her bed with that exact wacky rig and sinko setup. Took a few casts to hit that spot that triggered her reaction.
a fellow virginia fisher! If you want an amazing fishing place, Go to Lurary reservoir river, that place is absolutely littered with bass of all kinds! caught my personal pb of the year of 6.4ish lbs there a little over 6 weeks ago on a orange rattle trap!
These are all nice lures. But been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel. My opion Fire Tiger crank baits 24/7 52 weeks a year work for me I pretty much use them exclusively the past 20 some years.

Update please?
This is awesome, I was hoping to find someone breaking it down this way.
Best spring baits. Excellent. Now add rod choices for the baits. Pure gold. Thanks!

If the fish ever swims off you can throw a slow moving topwater and it will normally come back.

What State
Damn 15 in one hour that’s a damn good day right there
Im definitely a frogger for bass in spring time. Down here in florida the frog is THE way to go in springtime
Carolina rig in post spawn is really good on ledges. Just before bass go really deep for summer.
Love rapala countdown and suspending. I dipped into my saltwater stash and used 5inch zman's on a 1/4oz. swim head last week in a weedy pond and did well.
You really do offer some great tips. Bass fishing is mostly understanding where bass are, where they go, and what do they eat while they are there.
Thanks Richard!
Mk c xx boo, z xx amma boo

The good ol worm works well year round. Match the hatch .

These are all nice lures. But been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel. My opion Fire Tiger crank baits 24/7 52 weeks a year work for me I pretty much use them exclusively the past 20 some years.
I keep waiting to here ned rig. I catch almost all me bed fish on a ned
I’ll take one of those okuma reels
Where can I learn more about the floating worm.
What about the Zman ned rig????!!!!
Great info but how many times did u blink. At least every second
You guys want ONE lure that does good all year round (well in Maryland where I live) green pumpkin TRD zman finesse.
i live in Canada what should i use?
How do you work most of these?
Everyone say use red but I still have yet to get a bite. Went out to fish like 20 times and not one on a red bait
All lakes are different for sure. Lake I live on they want touch red in the 20 years I have fished it but other lakes it’s fire.
Funny how there's some science behind everything. Last 25 years I only knew the spawn was coming on when I could smell it. 😅
I didnt know you was into bass fishing bro my brother how you doing I love your content
Anyway you could hook me up with the carolina blue bass hat?? Don’t see it on the website anymore:(
So when would you use a whopper plopper
Good info man... 🤙🏾
Thanks for watching!
No spinnerbaits?
When you say deep diving crankbait... how deep are you talking? 10ft? 15ft? 20ft+?
Typically I am talking over 10ft and up to 20ft depending on where the bass are located exactly
Or, you can just come to South Florida where you can fish a stick bait year round and kill them. 😁👍
Hard to hook a nibbler,,u have to be pro or lucky
And a fluke
Very true! Another great one!
