    Take the lightcap out of your Safariland bucket to allow debris to fall THROUGH the holster if the need arises. Can't reholster if you have a spent casing or dirt/rock stuck at the bottom of your light channel. You carry a surefire man, that light isn't gonna break from something hitting the bottom of the holster.

    • @OfficerAjax
      @OfficerAjax  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By removing the light cap the structural integrity of the holster drops pretty dramatically. But there is a product that can allow you to keep the structural integrity good and allow stuff to pass through. More on that later……. 😉

    Hey man. Solid setup. Two things for ya. First, how did you mount the kywis to the belt? Second, there is a way to lock that ASP holder in place. From what I remember, there are 4 screws on the back plate of that holder. Take those out and there should be an additional screw sitting in a little holder inside. Take that screw and screw it through the back plate into the belt clip. You'll have to open the snap in order to screw the top two screws back into place when you replace anything. Hope that helps. Stay safe.

    • @OfficerAjax
      @OfficerAjax  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mounted the kywis to the belt with esstacs own belt loop adapters. However they only make them for a 2in belt and the Bianchi belt is 2.25 they still work but are very hard to squeeze on. And thanks for the baton advice.

    You can lock the baton scabbard. You have to access the back where there is a Allen wrench. You have to take the back plate off and install one of the screws that is included in a specific spot. The instructions are here on yt

      @@OfficerAjax Awesome news! I really appreciate the info . I run Esstac double mag kiwis on my Volund Gearworks molle belt right behind my Trex Arm's single pistol mag Mars carrier canted for speed & that's been my favorite setup to date . I have the same setup on my Safelife molle belt but with a triple mag pouch from HSGI . Really wish we didn't have to run basket weave as it has really taken me some effort to find quality kit in basket weave . I run Trex Arm's ifak's and CAT danglers also . I to am a pretty big fan of T-Rex Arm's and I almost met Lucas on the last day of an Austere condition's course I took with my former job up in Tennessee a few years ago but I didn't realize it was him 🤷🏻‍♂️. He was teaching a fighting pistol course & waiting for us to finish on the pistol range . As much as I love Safariland I'm not a fan of their bullets forward mag pouches . I completely understand the space saving slimline approach but it really slows my reload down even after trying multiple changes to my muscle memory . I won't have to worry about that much longer! Glad I clicked on your video . I saw the basket weave and figured I'd check it out .

Left side mag pouch, Gerber tool pouch, flashlight pouch, ASP baton 21 inch and radio pouch. And back then in 1992 that was a lot! Now we got TQs and Norcam and first aid kits. Hey man from a uniform perspective,you never want to run nylon with basket weave. Basket weave is just for aesthetics. I wouldn’t run a basket weave belt like a “tactical belt” with a oval in the back.I wouldn’t run a thigh rig with basket weave ,either it’s looks silly bud. I know bianchi makes tactical basket weave line. And that’s all well in good,but the idea is to be tactical while looking old school. You doing vehicle patrols ? Loose anything in the small of your back. You got a standing post? See if you can get a external carrier,if not lighten the load on your hips man. What ever isn’t on your person,put in you duty bag. I’m speaking from 5 years armed security and fugitive recovery. I don’t know your experience or training,but trust me, no one needs that thumb mod for a safari land ALS holster. Grip the gun normally and you’ll see that a persons hand and finger size is irrelevant to that little button.
