Gracias amigo, muy buen review. I’m a clinician often dealing with calls where I have to see people who are aggressive, delusional, paranoid, etc. lately, I have sharply notice, there are knives and weapons report. I will not have a chance just with my notebook & my pen... this type of protection, specially the soft type, will be handy for me.

Im considering buying there body armor. The only thing I see that I dont like is that the sides don't overlap. When I was a Deputy my issued body armor made by KDH overlapped which gave better protection and just made me feel better about it. At the time I wasn't much into gear I just took what they gave me.
Yea I definitely understand what you mean. With safe life defense tactical carriers you wouldn’t need them to over lap if you have the side armor, but if you were to even go up a size bigger than you can be able to overlap your vest on the sides to allow that coverage you are used to. Hey brother, Do you just have side armor? What about your chest and back?? Are you protected in the front and back or is it just the side Amor that you have on? Oh and if so that you’re wearing plates, What size of plate ? I’m asking because if I can buy the tac vest with front and back armor I’m all game then! The vest in this video just looks like you’re wearing side armor. If I’m wrong, I’m awesome. It looks very comfortable.

Your side straps are backwards. You put the elastic down towards the back

What size you get?
I am about the same size as you 5' 10" 135lbs. I am a recovery agent repo cars etc. In the winter I wear layers of clothing. Its saying I need a 3XS. If you layer clothing is it too tight I know there is adjustments but should I go a size up or since I'm on the lower end of the size chart it be fine? I have a vest from AR500 the General micro its kind of a pain in the winter to put on with layers of clothing. It has the clips. I would think the velcro attachment would be much nicer. It is a great summer vest because in minimal doesn't get too hot. Just looking to upgrade and not have to wait 4 months from AR500. Also what is the size of the plates in the SL vest. I have the Hybrid armor 10X12" would like to add them to ones that come with this vest. Thanks great video sir

@@OGCJ10 XS3 fits perfect. In the winter I wear 3 maybe 4 hoodies and its still perfect. With just a T shirt its perfect. There is plenty of room to play with depending on the time of year

The vests now have very very good Velcro I cant see it wearing out anytime soon . I believe they upgraded the velcro

I just got my Uniform iiia+ it only comes down to my belly button feel like alot open space? And I can't put my side panels on so much velco stop me from making a tight fit ANY IDEAS???
Fold the velcro up and then slide it in. Stops it from catching all the time. Also, the vest shouldn't come down past your bellybutton. That would inhibit mobility and make it harder to sit down while wearing a duty belt.

Just scrolling through youtube and caught this but hopefully it's been addressed. The drawstroke for the pistol is impeded on the OD green vest. Might be best to clear the item to the left of it sir. Just hoping to help where possible!

Without buying the plates will it stop a 9mm or 45?
If you only have the vest without any panels (price: around $175-$190), then it won’t stop anything. The panels will stop all pistol calibers, and depending on which one you get (regular or enhanced), can stop FN 5.7. Hope this helps
what size plates does this take?
jackbrightside xs and larger will take 10x12 and 2xs and smaller with 8x10. My vest fits 8x10
About how heavy is the vest
i think 10lbs dont quote me. When deleivered in the box it said 11.3 but I had the Tactical vest and the one you wear under if you want to switch vests

Does the new models Velcro wear out
cop boy over time is does but not as fast as the old models. Mines is still functioning the way it needs to. And I have take it off a good amount of times through out the shift.

It really goes by how much you weigh when it comes to these vest. If you go on the site it has a size chart on it. And depending on your weight will determine your vest. I’m 150 lbs and I fit a 3x small. And I’m 5’11.

I'm 5'11 and I'm around 160 lbs, but I don't know if the xs fits me. I want the vest to cover me up to the navel.
I believe a xs or a 2xs should be a good fit for you. I’m around the same as you and my vest is a 3xs. I gained some weight so it’s more tight now.
