- Hey everyone, and welcome back to another video! In this one, I'm excited to share with you the apartment I'm currently renting in Argentina. It's an amazing place, and the best part is that it only costs me $270 a month. Can you believe it? Towards the end of the video, I'll go into more detail about how I managed to snag such a great deal. So make sure to stick around for that! I really hope you guys enjoy this video, and if you do, please don't forget to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching!

It's July 2024 can still get very nice furnished studio with kitchen in beautiful area thru airbnb from $400 USD/p mo and little more depending on need. Doesn't matter if it's in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Cordoba, La Plata, etc. I've certainly been enjoying accommodations in different cities :)
Planning to move to Argentina for my retirement
Great choice
Same
Same! And I’m born in MDP 😊
Me too 😂
Never clicked on a post notification so fast!
salut, Sito~Love it, you made amazing -😎
Glad to see you back in Argentina. The COL is always of interest to me. I've lived in Costa Rica since 1997 and have dual CR and US citizenship. I want to experience more places in Latin America.
That’s a good apartment for a reasonable price. Here in Buenos Aires landlords are asking at least 500 dollars for a monoambiente
You pay more for just a room in a share house in the UK xD
Very cool apartment!
Nice find, I pay $400 but I have a temporary contract. Happy with it since I have a pool and gym. I submitted some videos of it.
amazing presentation! Good luck! please tell us more about life in M del Plata, how much money you spend a month, cultural life, etc... Gracias!
Thank you for the tour inside your new apartment, it is clean, a lot of space and good for you. I don't know if you can do another type of videos that you haven't done before because I've been watching your videos for a long time and I know your style of video. Can you make a video to see what kind of business a foreigner can do, from low-priced business to high-priced business? If you can do that, great.

This looks like a fantastic deal. I lived in Buenos Aires for 10 years. I purchased a home in Mar del Plata in 2009. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I wish I could find an apartment for 270 dollars in downtown Mar Del Plata. If you can pay all cash up front you will cut thru a lot of the red tape in Argentina. I live in Chicago, Illinois, and that apartment in downtown Chicago near the lake front would cost you at least 2500 dollars a month without any of the utilities. Man, you have a great deal.
Jesus is coming back. Believe He died for your sins and rose again then repent to be saved.
@@IamaproudChristian22 What?
Man I’ve been living in Chicago all my life hate it here I’ve been looking to visit argentina it looks amazing
@lzaza9858 I, too, was born and raised in Chicago. Chicago has been very good to me and my family. But I just have a better lifestyle in Argentina 🇦🇷. But no knock on Chicago. Except for those cold winters.
I like Mar del Plata. Was there two years ago. Saludos desde México 💚🇲🇽
Glad to see you back, bro. Greetings from Vegas 🎰
I'm moving to Argentina next year and I've been enjoying your videos a lot! Do you have any recommendations on which months are the best to find housing in Mar del Plata?
I would like between April and October. That is the off-season here.
Love it !!! ❤ I’ll be there in march to explore retirement opportunities! If Biden is re elected, will move abroad for sure
wow Argentina is very affordable compared to crazy price Oz
Great video. I will be moving from Miami to Mar del Plata this year. I will love living in a place with four seasons.
So, $270 to start, then after 4 months 25% increase rounded to $328, then at 8 months up to $410...that's 52% by the way...so legally binding. Price increases here in Australia are about the same its like a land grab...no inflation driven but supply driven. Great video highly informative.
The price goes up in pesos. Since there is so much inflation in Argentina when they do increase the rent by 25% it’s still going to be around $270 a month.
@@sitopoema While the value of the dollar gains against the nearly worthless peso.
Nobody from Buenos Aires has done an update on apartment prices since the Milei Administration took office.
Because this mofo is an argie doing commercials….
very nice apartmento
I'm glad it works for you, but as you said having a 75% increase in your rent yearly is out of the official increase rate, so it's just plain illegal considering the law today. So if you ever have trouble with your landlord you have that on your side lol (even if there's a contract mentioning the 75% yearly, a contract cannot be above the law)
That is exactly the problem 😂 socialism doesn’t work.
What does that have to do with any of this???
Crickets. He literally dodged the question like EVERY clueless MAGGAT 😂

The USA is partial socialists so as Canada!!! 😂😅😊
What about renting an hotel room long term like an year rate?
Hi those are cool little apartments--the balcony and the windows in room and shower***so cool....If anybody see this I wonder when a person wants to visit Argentina not move to, how can they rent an apartment for one month?
Great video, I'm in usa want to move argentina. But it's a little sketchy 55 percent increase
The 55% increase is in pesos, not in dollars. Allow me to explain. For example, if your rent is 100 usd (50 000 pesos) in January 2023, the 100 usd in January 2024 will be worth 100 000 pesos if inflation stays at the current rate of 102%. This means if your rent increases by 55% at the end of the year, your rent actually decreases by 45% 😂😂😂 . Of course, this is very difficult for Argentinian people. They earn in pesos, and you earn in dollars. I hope you understood Economy 101. Inflation doesn't affect your rent or expenses at all because you have dollars. Dollars
increases as much as inflation.
❤❤❤
Do the apartments come fully furnished?
Are utilities included? If not, how much?
Tell me about Bariloche and Argentina. If I were moving to Argentina I'd be very curious about Patagonia
Will you make a video about the Pros and Cons of Cancun, Mexico?
I actually thought moving there (just for the beach and weather)
@@ThoughtfulThinker101 Cancun… happy to be alive - I can imagine what happened; sadly, those things are common. You’ve gotta keep moving while in Mexico - you get too comfortable, people can tell. The wrong people.

Nice one bro. You're spat on with the way you put the information together. Keep it up!
Area.
Floor tiles are 60 cm square.
Easy to calculate sq metres.
Living Area ~17.5 m2.
Kitchen ~3.5 m2.
Bath ~2.0 m2.
Bedroom ~8.0 m2.
Around 31 or 32 m2, which is a normal size modest 1 bedroom in much of the world. 345 sq feet.
Size of a small studio in old buildings in WDC, NYC, Boston.
Quite small contrasted with modern USA or UK construction.
Or the approximate SF inside a big RV with slide outs. Not that I plan on living in an RV.
We are looking for a retirement city and Mar Del Plata seems like it could be a great choice, but is it if it is that difficult to find a rental ?
Thx !
How do you like it there and how long are you going to stay ?
❤❤❤
I didn't understand the part where they ask you for property collateral and the pay stubs... can someone please explain? Do I have to prove these if I am a foreigner looking to relocate?
Proof of income, yes!!!
Ooh! Do you come with it? ❤❤❤❤❤
The bidet is possibly an Italian heritage 😂
Depends who you talk to. Some say it's impossible to find an apt for $550 now?
Hello. It's a very useful video. Is the area where the apartment is located safe? (Mar del Plata). .
In dollars, the apartment is a great price.
In Los Angeles, the apartment would be at a minimum of $2,200.
This apartment would be $1800 in Los Angeles 😎
Are you sure only 1800?
@@ricardorodriguesrr18 If you're on the westside (Santa Monica, Culver City): $2400
Why you are not posting anymore bro?
Hello sito, please can you do something on English taught masters in Argentina?
What is a good website to find an apartment on?
Do you have any advise on renting cars in Argentina? I'm planning a trip this fall and would like to know what to expect. Please advise
Personally, I’ve never rented a car in Argentina. The one time I did try to rent a car they needed a physical credit card that they could put on file and I only had my digital card on my phone. So I was not able to rent the vehicle. So mainly Make sure you bring a physical credit card.
@@sitopoema Thanks for the tip. I'm planning a road trip up to Santa Fe with a local, but he doesn't have a drivers license!!
Why do you choose Mar del Plata to live?
Any reason you can't just do a contract to pay in USD?
With or without furniture?
Gotta find out the square footage / square meters to do videos like this, bro.
What's the website where you were able to find apartments?
Instead, just to go the area where you want to live.
Where are these prices????? all I see is 3000 USD plus
Im willing to pay $600.ooUSD/month. Where should I look to rent?
Hi are you still living in Argentina?
Is it still doable to find apartments at around this price in Mar del Plata?
Yes, the laws have changed now making it much easier, but you still have to have a guarantee for the property. Also prices have gone up significantly throughout the country.
I’m from USA and I’m trying to move to Argentina, my only concern is how does tax work for a US citizen? Do you pay tax for USA and Argentina, or just Argentina ?
If you are a US citizen or resident you pay US income tax regardless of who is paying and where you live. You may have to also pay state income tax based on your last address in the States. If you reside in Argentina more than 180 days per year (may be different now) you have to pay income tax to Arg AFIP, regardless of who is paying if your citizenship country does not have a double taxation treaty with Argentina. US does not have a treaty with Argentina.
@@Gus2828 thank you!
why MDL and not BA?
The average expat is, of course, unlikely to have such a guarantor as your girlfriend's family member. So, highly unlikely to get such a deal. But don't the Argentines use credit reporting agencies? And suppose you agreed to prepay the rent for a year?
When I was looking around, I found an apartment that was being offered for people not from Argentina and they were asking for one year upfront.
I heard that there are paid guarantor companies in Argentina. After paying some money to these companies, these companies were making a guarantee. Could this be true?
For a country thats in not so good conditions, they sure make it hard.
so what happened? U get evicted? lot of inflation down there $1 is 1060 pesos amigo
yall taking advantage from us
Yeah every South American country I’ve researched seems that within the last year because so many people have been migrating since 2020 that this type of stuff is super common. They definitely are taking advantage of foreigners. But you know what. They do that in every country. It’s sad. Where is there a place to live where people are moral and honest?
@@ijadamaatsara i was saying american are taking advantage, im south american.
Hey man, you from the states?
I'm guessing you're done making videos?
Whats the name of that complex?
Nice apt. How is your Spanish?
Hey, thanks for the comment, my Spanish is pretty much fluent
Question: was your apartment unfurnished?
Yes, it came completely unfurnished. Only thing here was the stove.
Could I get an apartment in BA for USD400 for one year? I just want to hang out, learn Spanish and guitar lol. Seriously.
Easily. My Airbnb is $400 a month and it's located in a good area near a metro station and some parks. You can go cheaper if you dig enough and don't care to live near everything
This is one of the places i am looking at buying in after living there for perhaps a couple of Years . Thanks for sharing and all the best to you & yours .
……Abe ( UK )
They seize it… just rent
@@mlbonfox8199 ….” They ?” ……are the Local Gov there not to be trusted ?
I recently read that “ El Loco !” …..Milei has removed all Rent controls so as to let the free Market decide the price of Renting …….i know this will cause a large increase in prices in the more popular districts which , according to the laws of basic economics, will result in the less well paid folks moving to cheaper areas .
I have noticed on my travels that in the Capitals as well as the Cities with over 1 million population that there tends to be more employment and Business opportunities however, the negative ( certainly in the UK ), there is more crime like Theft from shops, Breaking into property, Stealing motor vehicles, Street robbery etc
Perhaps there are other big population areas outside the Capital with good priced Apartments , good shopping , good quality Utilities , good Business opportunities and less crime involving theft .
I will also be looking at La Plata, Mendozas, Tucaman and San Luis .
Thanks and all the best .
So, I've heard how the exchange rate could make Argentina a nice place to stay... but just after a couple of videos I'm seeing it's not gonna work for me.
That's WAY too much chaos and lack of basic stability.
Such a shame, being the beautiful country it is, and the fact my grandma was from Buenos Aires...
Contract is in pesos or usd? Is that legal arranging a rental contract in usd there?
Having the contract in USD doesn’t follow the regulations here. But most people are starting to rent that way, but my contractors in pesos.
Hello ! I want to come to Argentina in December and stay for 3 months. I want to rent an apartment in Buenos Aires but the prices online are crazy! Do you have a good agency I could contact directly or a good website I could check? I don't want to seem like the foreigner that everyone wants to rip off.
Those months is going to be nearly impossible because it’s summer break and everybody picks up the prices and nobody wants to rent out their apartment for cheap during that time
How do you NOT become a Tax Resident of Argentina if you buy a property?
Bro I thought your dad was Argentinian. Couldn’t you get citizenship through him? That would make your life soooo much easier.
Wow, nice apartment for the money!! So, basically Sito I think your GF's family signed as your guarantor on the apartment. Perhaps you could find out if a lawyer can do this instead if you don't have family or friends in Argentina. I would be interesting in know this. Thank you again!!
A "guarantee insurance" can be accepted, but most ask to have between 1 to 2 guarantors in case of late payment of rent or possible compensation

You said there is increase of 25% every 4 months ?
That is going to become Expensive in the long term .
So it is not going to be cheap at all .
There is more than a 120% inflation rate per year so even with the 25% increase it’s still not enough.

Is it better to pay in dollars?

Hello! I want to buy a house in argentina sometime in the next 2 years but don't know a whole lot about its laws, you mentioned argentina gets a lot of inflation, is that just with housing/renting or just in general with everything? You said there was almost a 100% increase from last year and that just sounds absolutely bonkers to me any advice or insight you could give? Thanks mate
100% Inflation in Argentina for everything products or service. I know it’s crazy.
With everything, mostly food. But at least for right now, everything is absurly cheap for sameone who doesnt get paid in the national currency (peso). You can rent beutifull departments for around 200k maybe 300k (200-300dollars) just gotta know where to look.
Wander what happened to him
The stupid government chose the worst possible way to deal with the currency problem - more regulation. If the market were allowed to decide things like price and lease terms then there would be no shortage. New president there now so things will be looking up soon.
I might want to make an investment there

HOW FAR IS MAR DE PLATA TO THE CITY CENTER IN BS AS?
How safe is Argentina when compared to lets say Minnesota??
