It’s technically not open world but only seamless because an open world by definition has every area available from the start. Seamless games need you to progress in order to get to the next local, however it won’t be seperate map. Good example of this is Horizon forbidden west. But yeah it basically is open world

My hope for focus mode is that it will alter your animations. Like underwater combat did, based on your camera angle, some weapons attacks can only hit certain parts because of how hteir animations work so a way to fix that would be nice. If this is how it works, then yeah even experienced player will use it to ensure their best combos hit the parts they normally can't hit. Yes, there are people that struggled with the timer in the old games; in G rank where it's tuned for 4 players even if you solo, some multi monster hunts, MH1 wher you had to deal with the claw as cephedrome and rathalos refused to be hittable for most of the timer. The easy mode is infinite restock and fast travel in combat not requiring an consumable item anymore. They did say combat is boots on the ground so no mounted gunner cheese strat, shun those who mod it in and invade cross play. The AI companions are nice for if your connection is crapping out. They stated that each locale has a minimum of 2 large monsters that operate in packs. This is to ensure thsoe lovely pack monster turf wars where it can be group on group, alternativvely one of a type against a group of the other.
Okay the reason they say it isn't open world is because of some technical stuff. A true open world doesn't have loading zones between locales but a render distance, think Minecraft. This is a seamless world which means there are times that you do load a locale, but the loading screen looks like gameplay. Think god of war, how they load stuff.
lol, no. Please don't make stuff up unless you have a source to back it up. They don't want to call it open world because you can't go anywhere you want. Just like in previous titles you unlock new areas of the game as you rank up. Has nothing to do with hiding load zones

If youre taking longer than 50 min youre struggling and that's fine, might as well just remove it for those who actually need that time
The main hesitation of calling it "open world" seems to be coming from the fact that open world means you just pick a direction and can travel the whole map. Where as many interviews have stated the full map will gradually become available as the story progresses. Thus not "Open"

Hmm I haven't read it that way, it seems like a really fluid and integrated part of the gameplay to me
@daleA91 yeah I really hope the mount isn't overtly necessary, at least wirebugs and palamutes weren't a MUST in Rise
@Smuggler4545 it'll help you fight. There will be reliance. It will get rebalanced over time
why dose the cat thing keep on making me laugh
Because you have a great sense of humour
No hub, no quest board sound like horrible decisions
I’m looking forward to a fresh approach!
Why tho? You didn't need a hub in MH world and you din't even need the board either in rise..
@@JoachimVampireI liked the hub in tri it’s how you meet new people to hunt with, I think it was up to like 16 people or something like that. I used the hub in world and most people didn’t have mics or would just kick you from a quest if you’re just trying to help and a higher level. I trust capcom so we will see how it turns out
@redd_Jack
I sincerely hope that's just misinformation, hubs are an essential part of a monster hunter game
We have plenty of iconic ones throughout the years
@@Smuggler4545 It's all speculative info just now honestly, we're yet to see how they'll execute it
Honestly I have one major hope for this game, and that's to see Morhan monster show up.
My hope was they removed clutch claw, and that's already confirmed haha
only thing i dont like is that i can't pre-purchase it yet! this new Monster Hunter looks awesome!!
Perhaps you can soon after the Gamescom trailer!
I think Mantles are fine, I love them. They just need to not add Temporal mantle again, and it'll be perefctly balanced. Also I don't like how the mantle stays behind when it breaks or whatever, because when a monster stopped fighting and decided to run away my hunter decides to waste time taking it off. Like please remove that endlag for the mantles and I'll be so happy.
Each to their own, I think they’re way overturned and are super boring haha
If only i had friends to play this with 😢
Join our Discord!
Hope we get the same feat with MHrise to have NPC join u on a quest.
I think this has already be confirmed
This is already confirmed!
Chatgpt bonkers got me in stitches 😂😂😂
haha 🤝
I'm so hard for this game what, I hope gore and shagaru will make their comeback at some point in this game
we bricked in solidarity
I just hope theres a bit more challenge in the base game, and they dont stuff it all in the DLC and post-launch monsters like they did with World
Also, if Brahcydios isnt in the base game, I riot
I dunno, I thought base World was plenty challenging, it’s only now in retrospect with Iceborne gear that it’s such a cake walk
hear me out if it's open world escort quest from one town to the next would be perfect
I’m in
I want to play so bad!
Same!
There will be cross save, the modding community made a MHW ps4 save to pc save converter so...
Mods aren’t game features, they’re player made mods. You can make Fatalis look like Blue Eyes White Dragon with Tom and Jerry screams, doesn’t mean they’re game features
Nah @@LightItUpDanTom and Jerry blue eyes was definitely intended and a real part of world
I know this is quite stupid but I wish they would add a new weapon like gauntlets so i can punch monsters to death
Nah it isn't stupid, considering some of the older games exclusively had certain weapons asking for that isn't far fetched. There was a light, blunt weapon called the tonfa that did aerial punching moves. I feel they could do that and it wouldn't hurt the series at all if you ask me
Not stupid, I’m dying for a cestus/gauntlets weapon!
Toukiden has fist weapons, so it would be a totally valid addition to MonHun
Electrified kirin horn also called hardened state 😂😂😂

Tell me why this video was recommended after watching an AI video of the rock eating rocks?
wtf
The best way to counter an illment is to have high resistance to that particular element.
It's one way to, yeah. 3 Blight Resistance gives you immunity to every Elemental Blight, which is pretty great too
@@LightItUpDan that won't reduce the elemental damage at all and costs exactly the same amount of decorations slots , and also going the elemental way with elemental resistance meal is very good , the reason why is because elemental resistance works directly as a reduction percentage .
@@monderkbaeli9411 👍
YOU HAD ME AT MORE DETAILED CARVING🤩🤩🤩
LESGO!
I’m just glad to see a lighting dragon that isn’t a horse.
What if there's now packs of Kirins...
I hope theres going to be more biome diversity than whats being shown now, I'm no to excited if its all desert and slightly greener desert.
This is just one locale, Windward Plains, there’s going to be more!
I hope that I can play the story more easy with my buddies without waiting for them first to see the cutscenes before joining and so on.
Other than that I am looking forward to the game
They've confirmed there'll be something akin to that in the game, but it should be much less obnoxious
@@LightItUpDan yes noticed you saying this in the video. Still don't understand, why they are doing stuff like that. There are many games where you can watch cutsence together and so on. But let's see how they handle it.
im worried this game will launch at 30fps on consoles, only to get a next gen update later on down the road
Let’s hope not, current gen platforms are pretty powerful!
Nah dw in sine cases u can get ps5 to run OVER 60 fps and world run over 30 fps on console already. May your worries be somewhat eased my friend😊
@@LightItUpDan yeah but unfortunately they still launching games at 30fps lol
@@blackonbothsides2882 true
Mantles are such an eyesore...😢
Agreed
is it gonna be on xbox???
Yep!
Your not going to stop me from using the heavy bowgun. Still hoping at some point we still get a explosives focused bowgun even it it's not what it used to be
Not trying to, was just a bit of fun
In rise I had a sticky cluster wyvern fire hbg that was super fun. Had the ability to fire cluster shots in a straight line
Looks like im not getting the complete separation of single player and multiplayer quests that yearn for.
Ah that's interesting, how come you're yearning for that?
Meanwhile I'm just hoping GL FINALLY gets some love in the form of elemental shelling...
👍
Also hopefully Capcom paid attention to what Wild Hearts accomplished
I'm certain we're going to get an unimaginably good experience
Just waiting for Zinogre packs
That'd be sick haha
Will it be on Xbox one?
I’m not sure it’ll be on previous gens
Imma be pissed if they leave out monsters thatd be perfect for the game given its setting areas and mechanics in this one.
Oh yeah? Who do you definitely want to see returning?
crosplay means we will have actual livefull serves not like in mhw where there are only 2 or 3 peopel in many and 15 or 16 in only one server
Cross play is going to be such a game changer, I’m so stoked for it
@@LightItUpDan deffinitly it is what keeps the game alife and even more fun
As long as we don't have clutch claw or something similar I think it gonna be great. I can't bring myself to finish Ice Borne be cause I hate the mechanic amd bloated health.
I'm not having fun like i did worth base world, so it's not worth my time.
Fair enough, no clutch claw in Wilds is confirmed
Use the ICE mod, it rebalances the weapons and makes clutch claw a lot less relevant
I love the clutch claw
Kinda sounds like a YOU problem tbh...
@@Talon97 yup you just learned what subjectiveness is. No need to point it out though im pretty sure the average human knows people can have different preferences
I am sitting here like new meta horn attack xl / any other weapon
Two Horn mains about to start showing up
For online play will they have something like a DPS meter to keep track of everyone's damage
Doubt it, that’ll likely have to be modded in on PC if you want it
MonHun is about cooperation, not elitism.
@@JeannieLove 100%
I agree. But when you have teammates who proclaim they're doing damage vs running around most the fight it would be nice to have the receipts to back that up @JeannieLove
@@deathwarran this mentality is exactly why it's not, and should remain out of the game. yeah, it's a frustration when someone's not doing any damage, you just move on and play with other people,. Don't shove their % damage dealt down their throat so that they no longer want to keep playing and actually improve
Dune Cross over? Maybe Genshin too? Just wishful thinking D:
I just hope we can craft decos and have RNG talismans, I really disliked that in world
I reckon it’s gonna be a whole new system, no decos at all
Time to save money from now 😌
Yesss start that Wilds trust fund
PVP PLEASE add a pvp mode even if u can play a as monster vs hunters add rank leaderboard
I don't think it's something I'd want in MH tbh! But I do enjoy PvP in other games with loads of PvE like Souls
@@LightItUpDan why it’d would be a mode in itself couldn’t hurt to add it while still having normal monster hunter
...does....does this one feel clunky too?
You referring to World feeling clunky?
@lightitupdan honestly all of them thus far....i want to like MH. I really do but it always feels. Slow? Maybe im just too used to responsiveness.
Ahhh fair enough mate. I dunno I don't get that feeling with them!
Sounds open world but they didn't want to give the impression it's like botw open world where you can go anywhere off the rip
This is the impression I’ve gotten the most too, which is why they’re super hesitant to commit to calling it open world when it so clearly is haha
Yes ai teams. So boring going solo and have to pay for live
For sure! While nothing does quite beat the true multiplayer experience, this is still going to be a really nice option
How the hell u gonna join random ppl online to grind your hunter or master rank with no quest board ??? . Like divsion 2 ??? System match making ???
Could be certain camping menu options, we'll just have to wait for more info!
There is a quest board.
@@10XSeiga There's conflicting info, plenty of info says there isn't, so we'll just have to wait and see
Meaaaa meaaaa 😂
I just hope they actually put all the creatures in this one
Let's see what they come up with
Can we jump yet. Its the only reason i wont play these games
Damn you’re missing out on some of the best games around!
good video but nothing new
Perhaps not for someone scouring all of the info available from every news outlet and influencer, but for the vast majority it’s going to contain a lot of exciting new info
Honestly I’m so tired of palicos they never felt like they fit. Like in a game with monsters we couldn’t get something more interesting? Bipedal cat is lame cha cha was better but also lame
Fair enough! I love cats so I’m happy haha
I'm still a little skeptical about the mount but then again I am very excited to have two weapons on the hunt with me and then the open world no cutscenes it's all seamless in and out sounds amazing
Hammer/Hunting Horn combo about to go REAL hard
