    Some advise for you:
The first time* you killed the Wall of Flesh, two lines starting from the middle of the world and going upwards away from the centre of Corruption and Hallow spawns. This is called the "Hardmode V" and that is why the bottom of the map is all curruption.
Also, consider a Pylon network. You can house at lease 2 NPS in different biomes around the world - Ocean, Hallow, Desert etc. - and purchase a 'Pylon' which, when placed, allows instant travel between already-placed Pylons. Super useful. You could also connect your underground farm to the Caveren Pylon for instant travel from your home, provided there's a forrest pylon at home.
Finally, you can use shift+click to move inventory items fast. The goat skull can be shift+click-ed into the pet slot without you needing to work it out. Items can be gathered and dumped in chests quickly as well. There's lots of uses for that.

10 minutes is perfect time for a video on terraria.

Have you considered a pylon system?

i reckon farms take so long to build because you're using walls for the bottom layer !
now, i don't know exactly why specifically walls are used, but if it's to remove spawns below you, you can just put a layer of lava down in the bottom
