The reason skyward chest are replaced with gold locked chests it a reference to the now very old sky islands which were originally just a box of gold brick with a locked gold chest inside
Thankfully it's not *as* terrible in 1.4 because sky fishing is a thing, though we somehow didn't get a sky mill even *after* opening every single chest. RNG this run really had a mind of its own, I have to say.

Gromek sunflowers negate graveyard biome so get those at spawn asap
Not quite, they increase the tombstones needed, one sunflower per gravestone
Alternatively, though it looks v ugly, you can place a bunch of furniture items so that there’s no valid spaces for gravestones to spawn
All might actuated blocks work better
Unfortunately all of this i believe is pre recorded and they have completed the game
Burn In Lava you don’t get access to them until you’ve beaten skeletron, and by the time you’ve beaten skeletron, ghosts aren’t an issue. But yes, they do work
