Police stop Cornish driver who refused breath test - and was banned for four years

- A man who refused to take an evidential breath test after being spotted driving erratically has been banned from driving for four years.
Officers from Devon & Cornwall Police’s No Excuse team spotted Connor Dennison’s red BMW weaving across two lanes on the A390 between Treliske Hospital and Threemilestone in Truro on April 13th, 2023.
Video footage from the unmarked police vehicle shows the moment officers pulled Dennison over after witnessing him driving erratically.
Dennison was breathalysed at the roadside, where gave a breath test of 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - more than double the prescribed limit of 35 microgrammes.

4 years for pulling over because he refused to give a breath test in the station... after giving one roadside, but somehow you can kill someone driving uninsured and no license and get less. Country is a fucking joke.

And in a BMW. Notice its always an older model, not an expensive new one. The brand seems to be a magnet for anyone who is aggressive and arrogant these days. Not all of you of course but a terrible low class image nonetheless. I could easily get one but I just get the feeling I would get a lack of courtesy from other drivers, especially if I want to pull out, or stick to the speed limit.

4 years for refusing a test and a bit of heavy acceleration on lets face it... A fairly empty road? Never seen one single failing to stop drunk, dangerous driver get banned for that long on Police Interceptors, rules are completely backwards
ive seen people get the four you ban for dui before. its usually after they get x number of points against them
Reason for length of sentence is this this person had only just got his license back from previous conviction for the same reason so was lucky not to go to prison which he would have done if drove faster!
Where does it say in the regulations you can speed and lane hop if the road is empty? But you can as you sound like a right TWAT
he's clearly drunk. he's refused because he's drunk so if he actually did the test he'd be banned for 3 years and his driving was awful.
