Thank god! After seeing this video, I should be able to keep possession of my license after crossing the other side of an intersection as the lights were changing amber-red. I understand the most important point is not driving through AFTER the lights have gone red.
Those cameras make free money at intersections. They are like ATMs making money-making revenue. They cause more accidents than without them. Plus rear-end collisions.
If they make it where you only get a ticket when you enter while the light is red (or maybe even wait till a split second after) as opposed to getting everyone who’s in the intersection when the light is red then it wouldn’t have to be that way as people wouldn’t be hitting their brakes to avoid a ticket.
@@thevarietykid686 This *is* how they work dude. They sensors will trigger when your rear tyre goes over the sensor when the light is red, if you are in the intersection when it is red i.e. blasted through a yellow, it wont trigger.
@@Byefriendo I am aware that’s how they normally work. However, I heard some people from Texas (where I live) say that they got tickets even though they entered when the light was yellow. Anyways, I was just telling C Sullivan that they don’t have to be a money grab if they only ticket red light violators.
@@Byefriendo I was driving at 61km/hr on a 60 road in Ontario Canada, the light turned amber yellow when I just crossed the white line, now the intersection space was huge so by the time I crossed the intersection the light turned red and the camera flashed immediately I was like wtf, atleast where I am from the camera triggers regardless whether you are in the intersection during yellow or crossed the line when it's red, as soon as that signal turns red the camera is on. It's my first incident with this scam cameras let's wait and see if I get that damn $325 gift card for the municipality.

Always prepare to stop when you see a yellow light unless you can't stop safely. Yellow means caution
Easy fix, cut the wire in the pressure pad in the road and no more revenue.

I was on the way home form work and come across one of theese i went through on green cleared the stop line then had to stop because a car wanted to turn right by the time he turned the lights went red and i continued to get out of the junction its playing on my mind if i have been done for it 😫🤷♂️

@@allfunnyvideos4657 One Direction, but they have to take a picture of your face to and your license plate... if you think you're gonna get a red light flash pull down your sun visor as fast as you can and cover your face.. happened to me once, but I got it in time I think... or I could've been, somebody else may be making a left on the right
Rip off. The sensors are too far back, they need to be at the roads end. All automatic traffic cameras need to go!

Why the green 🟢not flashing before turn to yellow like in Austria or why the yellow 🟡 not longer?
In India or Sicily does not matter what colour on traffic lights --> you can drive through and they are not worse on accident numbers than UK.
What If you have passed the white line with the front while still Amber but turning red while rest of the vehicle goes through ?
Or if you break last second and the road is slippery and you pass the line with only your front tires? Anyone?

@@user-sk9sp7pe4y they are triggered when your whole car leaves the sensor, depending on the placement, most of your car could be in the intersection. Also if the road is slippery enough that you cant stop in time for a red light, then you either arent paying attention, have bald tyres, or are going too fast for conditions. Blasting through a red and potentially T-boning another person because you couldnt stop in time is not a defense, the cop or judge or whoever will just tell you you should have driven to conditions.

If you enter an intersection after a light turns red that's a violation..if you enter on an amber it is not.
thankfully we dont have them in my state nor do we have parking meters .
I was approaching an intersection and was going 35-40 km/h. I noticed that it was going to change to amber so I proceeded. committed. However, as I crossed the white line. The light turned red. I thought amber light has a duration of 3-5 secs. It seems like duration is less than 3 secs. Idk if I’m gonna get a ticket or not.

My solution to when I see one is to run them down
they have to have a picture of your face to... it's happened to me by accident. At the last second , I pulled a sun visor over my face. Before the cameras flashed ... they have to prove you're in the car otherwise who they gonna give it to. ... You can say that you loaned the car out to someone. Like a guy you were helping at the side of the road that you made friends with over the course of a few days you let him use the car while you're working on his vehicle.. you don't have to give up his name
