Thank you so much for sharing this video! I have recently returned from my 2nd trip to Norway and I absolutely love the country, the people and the culture! Next year I hope to make 2 trips, one in the summer and 1 in the winter. If I can handle the winter, I will make plans to move to Norway. Gorgeous landscapes and lots of freedom to explore nature... ❤
There are these Germanic Bracteates with an animal and a human head on it. I think these may either be Elk or Goats. I think either it's someone showing themselves off with a hunting prize, or it may be Thur and one of his goats. Who knows.
you speak english, a european language from England. In british english (that predates the US) the word for this animal is ELK., in Norwegian it's elg, Swedish älg, German elch and in French élan. So, in other words, to refer to the "american stag" as elk is WRONG!!!!

That's a great movie and wonderful story
Great video. Really honest reflection and authentic storyline.
Such an incredible film.
It's a very interisting video! hunt in norway, part of them life and beauty of Norway landscape!
A fine video, thank you.
A masterpiece! I’m curious to know why they use dogs in the elk hunt, is there a reason other than companionship?
Thank you!
More of Norwegian culture than a hunt. But that's cool that they call moose elk.
Great .

😂👍👍😂
It is MOOSE hunting, not an ELK
You must be American. This is the animal that was first named Elk in our Germanic language.
@@faramund9865 elk is an American stag or maral depends on habitat area. And moose is moose..what you referring to is MOOSE
@@victorserbeen3750 in Norway Sweden they call moose elk and caribou reindeer it is all the same with different names! All good
No it’s Elk hunting. They’ve been called elk in Europe for centuries.
