How do you get premission to shoot raindeer? are they wild? I am guessing most of them are owned by reindeer herders right?

@@artouditou0818 You have to send application some places or you can buy from landowners. Its not that easy because its a lot of people and not so many hunting cards each year.
@@artouditou0818 Two types of reindeer in Norway; Wild reindeer in Norway are culled in the wild by hunters. Tame reindeer are herded to culling stations ;-)-

Awesome to see ppl come here and hunt properly! :) None of this rich mans nonsense with helicopers and "glamping" or whatever they call it...And also that 18ms above the treeline hits different!XD Had a cool 17ms on a fishingtrip a few weeks back..Didnt get much fishing done..Great video and two very nice shots on that bull.

Solo Sambar Hunter those are the pro pants, I was layering a merino underneath, and most of the times the rain gear over so it was good. I also had the ultra down pants for the camp and for long sits.

you should maybe try to experience hunting in Greenland, even more impressive and harder :D
Not gonna lie, dont think Its any harder to hunt raindeer in Greenland than Norway. The raindeer in Greenland need to feed on, well, food. And the food is only by the coast (because the rest is covered by ice).That means that you dont need to go that wery far to find them. Of cource Its hard, but you dont need to climb mountains and walk for days as you need to do in Norway. Perconally i love Greenland and the landscape there, but also the wildlife:-) sry for ny bad English.

That's interesting you have to test yearly to qualify, to be able to hunt. Makes sense. In the states we don't have anything like that. Once you get your license that's it. One and done.

Reindeer hunting is a stalker-hunt. They are very wary, and would run away much faster than a moose would. I can say out of personal experience: you are the hunting dog, you find the animal, and you stalk it
