I'm a dutchman, but I lived in Saskatoon and surrounding area from 1982-1990. We started in Martensville and ended near Vanscoy. We lived in Saskatoon at various adresses in between. Been back a few times to visit from Holland since. Saskatoon will always have a place in my heart. I hope to visit again with my girlfriend and family someday to show where we lived. Not many Europeans have ever heard of this city..
Being Canadian and Gen X there’s a point at which the city from above looks like miniatures and I expect to see a gigantic soft leather boot standing there and a voice saying “I’ll call Rusty and Jerome”.
Home Sweet Home and Where I worked for many years first as a kid as a Heavy Equipment Operator and later as an Air Traffic Specialist. Air Canada, Pacific Western,Canadian Airlines,Canadian Pacific, WardAir B747Charters, WestJet, Eldorado Aviation B737+, Norcanair, WestWind. TransWest Air, Sask Gov't Airways, Athabasca Air, Frontier Airlines and plenty of small aircraftMitchinsons.
You guys didn't really answer my question though because I live in Victoria which is bigger than Saskatoon yet we have no warehouse district anything like that here
@@carewser it’s where they planned the modern warehouse district for the city. The older warehouse district was just north of the downtown core. We have lots of businesses in the city that require warehouses Edit: basically we’re a remote city that, outside of Regina down south, takes a whole day to drive up from any other city. It’s also a hub along the northern railway.

Hearing the name Martensville made my heart stop beating for a second there, strange town...
@arandomperson3117 we lived there when it was a small community with gravel streets. It's basically a city now.

That’s the North industrial area
Industrial district. My old office was right under this flight path. Once a month we used to get fighter jets roaring above us.
