South African-born Hazel Brooks (September 8, 1924 - September 18, 2002) had a brief film career, many of her roles were uncredited. She did, however, make very memorable appearances in two film noirs, "Body And Soul" (1947) and "Sleep My Love" (1948). After retiring from films, the former model became a successful photographer. Song is "Body And Soul" performed by Audrey Morris.
I thought Hazel Brooks was the epitome of film noir. She had the look, the voice, and the mannerisms. Too bad she did not like making movies as her career was so short.
