Bravissimo Simone, classe cristallina.

    Complimenti all'organista!

Splendido organo moderno dallo stile barocco. Suono cristallino.

A beautiful organ it is, no doubt, but there are an incredible number of outstanding italian organs -by italian builders from all periods-.

    • @LaMantovanaChannel
      @LaMantovanaChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, I totally agree: in Italy there are a lot of masterpieces built by italian organ builder. And the instruments we built from XV to XVIII century are simply unique. But, if you want to play Bach, you have just two ways: the contamination (and, personally, I love to listen Bach on italian organs) or find the few german baroque organs are present in Italy

    • @pierrelauwers8719

Should you want to play Bach "after the books" in Italy, you need first to find an appropriate church, with short acoustics and much wood carvings, like in Sachsen and Thüringen....You won't find that ! So maybe the best solution would be, like in France or Belgium, to take a romantic organ in a medium-size church. Besides this, there is by far more than enough italian baroque repertoire for your organs. I would even dare say a human life would barely suffice to learn it all.

In any other century it would be just another Germanic organ in Austria ..

It is not totally correct: Val Badia was a particular area. Just think the people speak ladin, a particular romance language.

Why do so many interpreters of this piece open everything up to where it sounds like a calliope? And the sort of rubato phrasings get old. Hipster Baroque.

Yhis prelude and fugue is not among the greatest of JSB; Nevertheless, it illustrates how he disciplined and put some order in the rather rhapsodic similar compostions of Buxtehude.
