Wow.. this is genuinely one of the most impressive achievements in any game I’ve played and you’re a mad man for completing it! But it leaves the question… what’s next?
I mean, I always thought this achievement was moreso an inevitability for most hyper dedicated players (I expect myself to put in a thousand hours at the minimum over the years given how much I invested into Slay the Spire), as it stands there's only really reason to hunt some of the more underpowered and generally unsynergistic Jokers, everything else is an inevitability if you play gold stake runs consistently (which, besides score hunting, seems to be what the true endgame is) because of how varied every run can be. I don't think this achievement should be squandered in the slightest, doing it so fast and so consistently is nothing short of an impossible feat for most, but I think there's always going to be improvements to consistency and skill to be made and so I would rather just summarize and say really, this is where the game truly begins, tutorial officially over, nothing to do but play for the sake of playing until the day where that playing card shaped hole in your chest gets filled in with dust, grime, or a new masterpiece of equal quality.
Tbh much easier than even things he's already done in this game! Gold stake nerfs make this winnable a very large percentage of the time with good but not even perfect play
I'm pretty sure that if I was in one of your college math courses, I would have learned the material better than in the classes I actually took in college. My professor for Differential Equations was probably the best teacher I ever had in all of college (I went to three different universities), but the professor I had for the second half of multivariable calculus was not very good at explaining concepts. The way you talk is much more similar to the former than the latter.
Iunno he's spoken at length about how these two types of teaching are very different, and he seems to believe pretty strongly that, well, he wasn't a good math professor, he wasn't good at going in and teaching.
I fail to see how the Gift card Joker is much better than the To the moon Joker. To the moon is systematic +5 gold per turn you can use immediately as you want. Gift card is eventually +6 Gold per turn (since you had an non-soldable eternal) and only if and when you let go of your Jokers, and forces you to not use any tarot card during a blind for maximum value. Is Gift card only a viable option because of the Temperance tarot card ? (granted, it seems busted with that one if you never sell your Jokers). I guess it is down to preferences, I would rather get the incremental gains (I LOVE playing with cloud nine or satellite) over the potential future spikes.
Every temperance acts like one fifth of a too the moon for every joker he kept throughout giftcard, every sold joker is also one fifth. So long as you pick up one temperance after you're always doing better. (Because you've either sold them or kept them!)
Yes he talks about Temperance a lot. In a previous video he mentions the chance of getting Temperance per Arcana and jumbo arcana so things like northernlion and Gift card get a lot better when you’re spam opening every arcana
aw geez im trying to catch up to you im just finishing up some gold steaks on some decks and carrying some egregious jokers to that level. nice job man!
1:27:20 That's not true, though. When you get half as many chips, as long as your mult stays the same (which is usually what happens when losing Seltzer), you'll get half of the points, not a quarter.
importantly the way you score in plasma is roughly halving your chips and then squaring them. The squaring is where the quarter comes in. 2x chips becomes x^2 points x chips becomes (0.5x)^2 points or 0.25(x^2) points With plasma deck halving your chips really does quarter your points. On the flipside though, doubling your chips quadruples your points, it basically turns linear scaling into quadratic.
29:35 it feels very wrong for a rare to exclusively give money. I could be dumb and forgetting one that exists already but it doesn't fit my expectations. I think satellite is fine as is
@@liam_iam I did! Now I'm going for 15-0 gold stake win streak rotating through all the decks. I suspect that will take me much longer. Do you have all the gold stickers yet?
@@livelyy. congrats!! Also 15 win streak is a big challenge, especially with some of the trickier decks (looking at you black deck) I started doing gold stickers 2 weeks ago and have since gone from 45/150 to 137/150. Remaining jokers are all common/uncommon so it should hopefully be OK. Which deck(s) did you find worked best for you?
@@liam_iam plasma is probably the best, because you can score enough with just a couple chips jokers and save an extra slot or two for stickers. But I used ghost and abandoned as well because they're two of my favorites
@@livelyy. I am probably playing it wrong, but I find plasma painful on gold stake lol. Especially with the small selection of scaling chip jokers in the game. But I'm sure I have more to learn with it. I've used ghost/abandoned a bit as well (fun decks for sure). Recently though I've been having huge success with the blue deck, focusing heavily on deck manipulation. With enhanced cards you don't need jokers as much for scoring, which can open up a few slots for stickers. I've now had 4 successful runs with Vagabond where I just stuff my deck with glass and steel cards, and score off my cards - which at one point got me 4 stickers simultaneously. The +1 hand makes vagabond so good, especially with blueprint/brainstorm. Otherwise the +1 hand also functions as an extra $1, or an extra hand to scale your jokers, or an extra discard, or an extra turn for scoring - so you can adapt it for whatever the run/round requires. Now at 141/150... the end is hopefully near :)
I have a really stupid ongoing challenge for you. I need you to get what I'm dubbing the "divine 69" You need a Hanging Chad and a gold sealed lucky card. Then you need to simply hit on the 1/3375 chance to earn $69 from one card.
rocket is better because it's entirely passive and has a higher ceiling. Satellite you can improve more quickly but that requires spending more money or skipping over opportunities to improve your score. Yes, you *can* use planet packs that miss your desired hand(s) or priestess (when you don't have a more preferable tarot) to scale it, but telescope ruins the first opportunity and random planets eventually stop hitting hands you haven't leveled. Not to mention the ceiling on satellite is 9 (without the special hands) which rocket reaches after 4 antes then surpasses. Even with the max of 12 from the special hands, rocket will pass in 6 antes.
@@superdog3293 that's the issue of rocket: you need wait for it working for 9 rounds with locked jocker slot. And normally (not endless) you need eco jockers mostly in first 2 or 3 rounds to build wealth up. Right - in long run rocket will give you more money. But usually only when you don't need money anyway.
Congrats on the C++ certification!

Question about satellite, if you happen to get a black hole in a planet pack does that satisfy as getting all the planet cards?
no if doesn't
It doesn’t because Black Hole counts as a Spectral card, not a planet
