    Yes we know that elephants are very intelligent. Please help improve the living space of elephants in captivity: bigger enclosures, grass to graze on, more toys and ponds.

      Because sanctuaries don't know how to take care of elephants as well as zoos do.

    I don't go searching to find articles or videos of how intelligent animals are, but over the years I've learned about so many animals of various species which seem to be invaribly smarter than they were previously thought to be. It seems to me that we constantly underestimate our non-human friends. No doubt some researchers have found certain species to be dumber than thought, but my guess is that in the vast majority of cases, animals are generally brighter than we give them credit for. Do you agree?

      +grandmajoyce2 -----my madness and me 100% gree with your brilliant statement miss grandmajoyce....other species surpass elephants in intelligence by far, examples are:: dolphins--chimpanzes, lions, pigs, bears, wolves, dogs, cats etc....take care mam.

    The life spans of elephants in zoos typically are far shorter than their 70-year life expectancy in the wild. Since 2000, more than half of the 76 elephants who have died at facilities accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums never even reached the age of 40

    • @Powerranger-le4up

      Actually, most elephants don’t make it past 50 in the wild. They’ve been able to live into their eighties at zoos.

    First off: all animals DO HAVE COMPLEX THOUGHT. Secondly,they should have put a cart on the ground instead of a ball. The Elephant could have slipped and broken a leg.

    how do we save the elephants ? Because as the guy said theyre being endangered by habitat loss and other factors...We should stop putting them in zoos and like some people say, thats the best place for them to keep them save. Thats not true....We should be making their habitats safe for them and cutting down on our human population....We are the problem, not them..so we have to do something to stop this overpopulatiion and waste of natural resources

    • @jessiejames7492
      @jessiejames7492 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      dont you think elephants can breed normally if left to live a natural life? stop the poachers and zoos and private zoos and what nots. its greed thats killing them. Trumps new law makes it worse. someone should go and hunt him.!

    • @Powerranger-le4up
      @Powerranger-le4up 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a better of saving them from extinction, I’d love to hear it. Blame greed, not people.

      @@Powerranger-le4up People have power to do it. If they want to feel good with them, they'll. But if not, they wont. Some of the most important arguments for not destroy the ambient is because the ecological disaster would be immediately, not because we have empathy with them (nature WITH animals). And i doubt elephants like jungle, that live style is just a shit. So, we'll not keep them in the jungle because we have ''good heart'', but we should do another thing: knowing them have consciousness, we should keep them in the zoos with good human treatment. If we can do a big artificial and non-consciousness forest biome, we should do it. Having photosynthesis, blocking mosquitoes and keeping our own civilizations caring artificially with animals that need help to get of this shit that we call nature.
