“I set to read the Act of Parliament by which the Bank of England was created. The investors knew what they were about. Their design was to mortgage by degrees the whole country…lands…houses…property…labour. The scheme has produced what the world never saw before - starvation in the midst of abundance.” ~ William cobbett
Labour don’t have a mandate from the British people. 2 in 3 voted against Labour. Restore democracy, change the electoral system now to ensure the make up of parliament reflects the votes cast by the people.
It's quite bizarre that Labour should by all rights have remained completely and utterly unelectable, the same as they have been for years, and kept away from office for at least more than a generation...and all it would have taken was the merest hint of competence from the Tories, yet they could not even deliver that. All that Reform UK successfully did was split the right-wing/conservative vote and ensured a party that should and would have remained in the political doldrums for years, if not decades, the easiest win it is possible to imagine.

What action was that?
He's the first Prime Minister voted into office democratically for quite a while ..isnt he ? You know the old school way of by the electorate as a whole when party leader ! Bedoink !!!
“This great nation” haha ffs 😂😂
Why do I feel like he atleast gets the problem
BOTTOM Line - they all leave office with a healthy lifetime income and pension, Need NEVER worry about if the NHS works or not, if austerity works or not, if price increases works or not. When faced with a lesser to two evils but evils none the less - what are the people to do? My late grandmother always said "the stricter the Government - the Wiser the population".
Lets see how this Govt pans out, because for the longest time all I've seen new govts do is blame the last govt when things go wrong. Having said that, the last gove is by far the WORST I've ever seen. Feel like I've just awoken from a 14 year horror story. Let's see what this new chapter brings.
Just fix the darn Bank of England base rate. We are tired of paying over 5% on our mortgages. You promised once inflation is down, you will bring that down. Well inflation has been steady for months and yet we haven't seen even 0.5% deduction.
Mate he’s been in power for 3 hour

Should have bought a house in the ate 70s...then you'd have had something to cry about.
@@vallejomach6721 I wasn't born in the late 70s.
“I set to read the Act of Parliament by which the Bank of England was created. The investors knew what they were about. Their design was to mortgage by degrees the whole country…lands…houses…property…labour. The scheme has produced what the world never saw before - starvation in the midst of abundance.”

Labour don’t have a mandate from the British people.
2 in 3 voted against Labour.
Restore democracy, change the electoral system now to ensure the make up of parliament reflects the votes cast by the people.
Yeah migration
Of course they do, that is how the voting system works, you could say the same for every single party elected
Sounds like you want a coalition every time with no clear sense of direction.
Many congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
The extra effort of losing an election and leaving the tories at an all time low, must've been difficult!
A fabulous day the light has returned after fourteen years of terrible darkness.
No mandate
Cringe
Not much will change
"Have no doubt, that we will rebuild Britain"
I doubt that
thanks bot
according to YouGov 48% of Labour voters voted to 'get rid of the Tories' only 5% voted because of Labours policies 📺🐑
And how did they find that out? It’s not like everyone wrote “I’m voting to get rid of tories” did they? So don’t spread baseless information

How foolish have those people been?! They should have voted reform to protest!
A few weeks later …..biggest car crash in uk history , now UKs most hated PM by……….far.
See you all in a few months or years when he hasn’t done anything he said he’d do and was no better than the conservatives.
I think people forget there were other parties available 😟
You can see all the tax dodging tories in this comment section
Total bollox
@@whitefang7280 in my head I heard that in Natali Morris' voice 😀
What does "bollox" mean? Did you get bored half way through writing your own comment?
@@Tekapeelthis dude doesn’t know what “shortening words” is 🤣 it’s the internet not an English exam kiddo.
Welcome Keir! Glad to have you as PM
Excellent speech. This country will get better . labour in for many years
It's quite bizarre that Labour should by all rights have remained completely and utterly unelectable, the same as they have been for years, and kept away from office for at least more than a generation...and all it would have taken was the merest hint of competence from the Tories, yet they could not even deliver that. All that Reform UK successfully did was split the right-wing/conservative vote and ensured a party that should and would have remained in the political doldrums for years, if not decades, the easiest win it is possible to imagine.
Constantly looking down at his speech. A speech written by others. He can’t even speak from the heart. This is no leader and definitely no prime minister 😢
The sneaky greedy Sunak never wish to see his face again
Keep this Promise.
Don't let us down!
Fell asleep after 10 seconds of his speech... Honestly the most boring PM ever
Fact.
Wasn't that Major?
