I have a 2009 and I love it. Bought from new just coming up to 80k miles. Few problems over the years but all sorted by my garage with parts from scrap yard when needed.
You can buy this car used in US for like $6000. It's a fun car. Heavy on maintenance. Just recently had to change the intake manifold gaskets on mine. Pricey repair
@@steveg9302 have you ever driven the v6 ? I have driven my older brother str8 and they pretty much drives the same except his car sound louder . They both take off like jets when you hit the accelerator the str8 would win in a race but we live in the city not a race track . Plus the v6 is a lot easier on gasoline when I drive to work the fuel gage barely moves .
Ive had my SRT Design since Nov 2014. As standard, they suck. Mine had 10500 miles on it when i bought it (jan 2009 car) and in the first 4 years, it cost me more in repairs than the car did to buy. However, once you've changed all the standard components for better ones, its a beast of a car. 300bhp remap and bigger injectors, averages 35-36mpg combined, 0-60 in 5.6 sec, lowered on uprated coilovers and full set of polybushes so handles great, the thing is a bit of an animal and is now the car it always should have been.
I have had 300c's since 2012 when I bought a 2006 model. Have now got the 2009 model 300 SRT CRD, Fantastic motor and much better than the standard previous car. My previous 300 was a 2006 CRD. Poor quality needed new suspension every year, seats fell to bits, door handles snapped and auto box leaked ! This report about the SRT is spot on. The thing about this car is nobody knows what the fuck they are ! The amount of people that come up to me and ask about the car is unbelievable and it certainly turns heads wherever it goes.
It would have been cool if they had made a 'baby' version of this similar sized to the 3 series or Jaguar X type. I love the styling but it looks a bit big.
From what I understand about these cars that light your referring to is the throttle body it needs servicing. I have a 2018 it’s not the SRT but when ever I start the car that light comes on just for a second . I looked it up on the manual and that’s what it said you can research it on TH-cam. Good luck
It can mean multiple things, that could be one of them, usually its like another version of a engine light and when you plug it in it gives you the message/code
that light does mean electronic throttle control fault. On a petrol version its more likely to be the throttle body but on a diesel it can be multiple things.
On my car the abs and esp light has come on and the brakes lock up once I've pressed on it. No one has the software to re initialise it. Any suggestions?
This is what put people off I car drives really and heavy weight. Sluggish. Yes it looks fab that why I bought it brand new when it came out but hate driving you can't compare with other bmw mercedes or even audi.

If you have oversized rims and low profile tyres it will affect your suspension but still they are a great car , mine is a 2013 love it .😊

Size wise it's actually the same as a 7 series/A8/S Class rather than in between.. 👍 Good video mate

I’m thinking about getting my SRT mapped. Is that stage 1? Mine is 215bhp at the moment, how can I get it to 300?

Boot is small and running cost is more than mercedes. Driving is ok.
Looks is the best nothing else.
