Lots of salt. Best way to dissolve salt is to use water. Other chemicals will help to remove other contaminants - no doubt about it. Keep it clean:)
Ok the "base" is good,but the products seems very effective and overall the skills and the method are great. Awesome.
I used Green star 10:1 on my jeep before finishing with a waterless at the coin op. Suprised how much crap it pulled off.
As bad as the salt is, the depreciation is even more horrifying.

Great job. However, that Audi paint is / was still full of minerals after contact washing it. In this case an acidic shampoo for contact wash would have been the preferred choice.

Did a nice job of that, Koch do make some good products. When you've used Vbn is I assume you've diluted that at 1:5 in the lance bottle and then it comes out at about 5% ish when it hits the panel?

Great content. We recently got a snow storm here where I live in the USA, we rarely ever get that, tons of salt accumulation on my car. Recently got some TEA, anxious to give it a try when it warms up some. I don't have the other foam product so I will use GS 10:1 with a splash of CARPRO Lift for some suds in my Pro 12 IK Foamer. I do love Protectorwax at the end, one of my favorite products.
ProtectorWax is amazing. Love the smell and shine it gives! You will love TEA it literally melts the salt right off the vehicle. Use it before the prewash and you will be amazed
That is one salty audi. How long did this whole washing process take? I'm relieved they dont salt roads here, just some intersections. Salt is not particularly healthy for a car in long run... duh :)
Took about 3 hours actually.. yeah i really hate salt, they are definetly over-using it, there isnt even any snow or ice outside. Atleast i have the tools to fix it hehe
My issue is that as soon as you drive back to the home it will already be dirty again! Winter driving sucks
Amazing results. What's your thoughts on their alkaline wheel cleaner. Tempted to buy some myself but haven't seen loads of people use it.

All of the KC products i have used this far have been better than whatever i have used before. awc is surprisingly versitile and removes grime very well, would recommend!

3:45 - Never knew it was safe to power spray the lower inside door panel and door jam. Usually use light spray and MF towel, but it’s so dirty. Also have an Etron with the same rubber molding and illuminated door sill. Interesting… 🤔. Also
Never ever heard that it is not safe to spray inside door jams etc. We do this every time, not a single issue caused by this!
@@jonasrikter8280 Thanks. I assume we still need to be careful when spraying with a pressure washer, that you still don’t want to get water inside the door panel or inside the car’s interior. But good to know that we can use it on those pesky door jambs and bottom door panels.
@@ONI1013. always smart to be careful, totally agree with you! Water inside the speakers / interior is a no good. We sometimes also just use running water on the door jams after an apc!

I've swapped out more and more of my detailing products in favor of KC with a few exceptions ( VBN is nearly double the price of Bilt Hamber Autofoam f.ex ). In terms of Protector Wax - doesn't this cause wiper chatter and a film that is left behind when using the wipers?
I agree, vbn is a little pricey, and if you compare it to autofoam, it is very pricey! Autofoam is also very alkaline and will do the same prewash job as vbn, bilt hamber is a great brand. Yes, we do notice that ProtectorWax results in a small film on the screen, but its not really an issue if you wash your windscreen properly both inside and outside. Its worth it, protectorwax bonds really well on glass, making it bead like crazy
Love the video brother. Im in America and cant get (TEA) or (VBN) and i want them so bad. Its incredible what they do. I had never even heard of TEA. Is the way you used it the way they recommend it? Also - I noticed two layers of VBN but it seemed the first layer took care of it. Was the 2nd layer for added peace of mind and to protect the paint? Why not use something like GSF and greenstar for the 2nd foam? Last question - how long does the TEA last?
Hello. Awesome that you enjoyed the video! TEA also known as Teerwasche A is a petrochemical degreaser, very common here in Norway. We typically use TEA as a step one before applying a alkaline prewash/snowfoam(as we did in the video where we applied VBN with a ph < 13). I agree, both chemicals do wonders, hands down best supplier of car products we have ever used. In addition to your question about applying tea; you use it concentrated, no dilution at all. VBN we dilute as a regular snowfoam! Yes you are correct, the first layer did take care of the grime, the second layer was simply applied because we had leftover product in the foam cannon, and for pettiness;) we use GSF in our washbucket. GSF is highly recommended as a car soap, super slick and smells amazing, but considering it only has a PH of 7,5 it will not bite enough as a prewash. I dont think i understood your question about TEA’s duration. You apply as much as needed, we only use TEA in winter time due to roadsalt and a LOT of dirt in general. (Tea removes tar and salt etc) hope my comment was helpful:) -Jonas

I detail cars here in America and use koch Chemie gsf and mix with greenstar to make it have more powerful in a foam cannon. Coming out of winter i have realized that sometimes that combo is not powerful enough to get rid of contaminants and i don’t feel comfortable doing the contact wash yet. You’re video was very intriguing because i had not seen or heard of those products yet and i was able to see on camera how powerful they are. I can’t find anyone in America that sells those. I can only get access to super foam or active foam.
My question about TEA was how long (many washes) does the bottle last since you use it undiluted.

First of all. Something that bothers both me and my friend is how you guys in America use snow foams. Yes i agree, soap is fun, and thick foam is cool. But when it comes to the cleaning part, and i cannot stress this enough. You NEED to use an alkaline presoak/prewash/snowfoam. Using PH netural snowfoams as a prewash will not have any cleaning abilities what so ever. You stated that you noticed your prewash was too weak at winter, which prooves my point. The closest you will come VBN is by using only Greenstar in your cannon. Greenstar is also alkaline with a ph < 13, but VBN is a little bit stronger ofc. I recommend finding out your P.I.R (search up on youtube for tutorial) and figure out how much product you need for the pir to be correct. In our video we diluted VBN so it hits the panel with 5% PIR. (In summer we use a PIR of around 2%) Keep in mind, every pressure washer has different specs, water pressure etc. you need to calculate your own pir. Use around 1-2 DL of GS in your foam cannon at winter times:) 30-50ml is too weak. Also, we also use Super foam on a regular basis, havent recorded anything while using it tho. Super foam has a ph < 12 and is also very powerful, and it is super concentrated which makes it very foamy. Highly recommend. Will make some videos with SF soon!
It is difficult to give an exact anwser to how many washes a Liter of tea lasts. It very much depends on how dirty the car is. But yeah.. i will comfirm; you use a lot. Me and my friend (FsAviX) buy in bulk, so we typically use 5L+ at wintertimes. There is no need to be cheap when applying Tea. The prewash is the most important step in order to have a safe contact wash afterwards.

We use ounces so I’ll have to do conversion. Normally I just use 1 ounce! Would you still use TEA or VBN as a pre before Superfoam or just superfoam alone in 2 doses?!
@@JeLifeCoach PIR stands for Panel Impact Ratio. I will send you a video that explains it very well:) nono. At winter times we use TEA and VBN (or you can use Super foam. Cleaning wise VBN is for veeeery dirty cars, super foam is for dirty cars as well but it is a little bit weaker, ph 12 is also very strong.) We used around 2 DL of Vbn in this video, that converts to around 7 oz :’) yeah we do not cheap out on our cars haha. We like using proper amount on our own cars. Business wise i would calculate your pir for most efficient use of product so you dont waste etc. at summertimes we only use super foam as a prewash step. Typically 1 DL superfoam (3.5 oz). If you use tea and vbn there is no need to use superfom afterwards.

Just high pressure washer and that is it. Normal condition after highway.
This is extreme salting conditions, not evne remotly close to highway conditions.

just a quick tip...whipers always should be down for wash as well and then you cand rise them up to dry out and don t forget the diesel or petrol cap as well,it can get very messy if it hasn t been done for years

Have you done any undercarriage oil coatings to help with preventing rust?
I have not, it can actually trap salt and make it worse. Instead i give propper wash to the underside of the car every spring when the roads are cleaned from salt.

@@tonipieleanu Depends on the retailers in your area. Vbn is found in most detail stores in Norway. VBN has a higher ph and will be a little more agressive than Green Star and is also made as a prewash product. Both work very well as a pre-wash step, but gs will function more as an apc. FsAviX used gs in the video as an apc

difference between kcx tea and eu ?
Kcx Eulux is an adhesive, glue, tar, and stain remover. Kcx teerwäsche is a oil-based degreaser that removes traffic film and oil-based grime. Very common to apply oil-based degreasers as a prewash step here in Norway:) Tea is very effective with vbn.

At the moment i use soft99 fusso, might take ages to use up, but when that happends i might try it haha
this liquid sparay wax is a shit, which lasts for only a few weeks. Use products which applied with hands. I use hydrophobic liquid which I apply with towel, it keeps for whole winter with salt, now after rain it look like new from dealer.
We use both. The paste wax can be worn down during winter, so we use a spray wax to keep the car hydrophobic
Just a suggestion for next time, have the customer go through a touchless car wash beforehand, it helps immensely and a huge timesaver

@@DetailingCars damn I thought we got a lot of Salt here in Montreal, Canada. I'm guessing you guys see a lot of rusted cars? We don't have ice THAT often since our temperatures tend to be decently under freezing, but a very sunny day can melt the snow in the cold too :( And then you get ice early morning after it froze at night and hate your life

Ok, definitely feels good watching it but anyone who has washed his/her car knows that you are always rinsing direction top down otherwise you are just wasting water
And any professional detailer or valeter knows when using a pre wash chemical you rinse bottom to top

@@mic21hawhen you apply prewash you want it to dwell and work on the entire car for as long as possible. Due to gravity the soap runs down and therefore the bottom parts will have more dwelltime in general because of this. If you start from bottom the top parts will still have soap on and is able to dwell for longer. It is also easier to see where you have rinsed
