For paranoid people like me that just had a seizure at 2:09 when the nearly-subliminal message pops up on the many-fans background, but couldn't actually read it : it says "This used to be a part of my PC's watercooling loop : Six 140 mm fans mounted to a VW Scirocco-radiator..."
Thanks for the video Thomas, I'll get a few of those to figure by myself if they are worth for a reprap.

TMC 2100 does not have the legacy features of trinamic drivers like stall guard2 & cool step. Seems like there might be a more advanced version TMC 2130 which will include these features. Anybody has more info on this. Would like to see a review of the t-bone cape for BBB which uses trinamic amazing drivers & motion controllers.

Anil Kumar it could be. i cant remember now.. because my biggest concern was the silence of movement for live photography.. I will check it out and try spreadCycle which supposed to have higher torque and still quite enough

Can tmc2100 drivers be used with cnc shield v3 on top of arduino uno?

Could you show a running print with the new drivers? The complete behavior and sound of the printer in spreadcycle mode will be interesting :)

First Test of the new TrinamicMC drivers with my i3 printer. The video compares the new driver (x-axis ) with the old one (y-axis) th-cam.com/video/mJmg0iRHX8s/w-d-xo.html

finally someone actually talks about the function of the chip, not just "it makes it quiet".

Hi, this driver can produce 256 steps, as I learned. But does it mean, using arduino, I can tell my stepper to turn 1.8/256=0.007 degree every time and wait X sec then turn 0.007 degree? I want to make a rotating time lapse head. So my plan is to turn as slow as possible and step by step like TURN 0.007 degree then wait for SHOOTING CAMERA then TURN 0.007 degree. Thank you in advance.

I have just switched these for my my DRV8825 on an Ultimaker clone 3D printer. I am very impressed with the noise reduction! They perform at least as well as the DRV8825 or A4988 but reduces the stepper motor noise considerably!

I've installed TMC2100 in my camera slider, it's incredibly silent compared to any other drivers. However, I noticed jitteriness in the camera's footage at random positions, which I believe due to losing random steps. Can I tweak something to improve its performance? Note that vibration isn't a slider issue as using the noisy DRV8825 resulted in very smooth motion.

I have a problem with my motors whining. It's on a RAMPs 1.4 and I have all 3 jumpers removed. No pins jumperd with spare wire. ideas?

i kinda messed up the solder jumper as in, track disapeared, for spread cycle, can i use the wire method for CFG1 to GND even though some warn against this? these are the mks tmc2100

Might be interesting to take a look at stepper motor dampers, the ones that fully isolate the stepper motor from the 3D printer. Maybe TMC2100 and these together?

saying this one is honest, might imply that others that don't have honest infront of it, aren't honest. just saying.. it looks weird.

i found the biggest noise reduction comes from adding silicone rubber feet alongside drv8825 to my delta one on each corner instantly makes the fans the loudest thing
