I have never understood people who get mad because someone told them their significant other is cheating. I was engaged, and when I found out I THANKED the woman who told me. She saved me a lifetime of misery. Plus, he ended up knocking her up twice with twins so I figured karma got them on that! 😂😂😂
I'm a newly licensed tech and I only recently got seriously into taking more clients, and I'm naturally more of a listener than a talker but I personally love that my clients are comfortable enough to share details of their life with me. They're not complete strangers (they're old classmates from school and people I used to work with), but the tea ya'll shared in this BizTalk is too much. They need therapy not nail appointments 😂😂
Tracey I would have been your dream client. Ear bud in, phone propped up, watching documentaries while you do my nails. I would almost get annoyed when the nail tech would try to make small talk with me lol.
Omg years ago I had a male client who was showing me photos of his children and I said oh how cute and he proceeds to tell me he can't find them his wife took them and ran off and he's been trying to track her down and her parents won't tell him where they are. I couldn't decide if I hoped he finds them or I hope he never does. Super sketch.
The only time I ever went to a salon was after a breakup and I was so emotional and messed up but she was really sweet and have me a wicked set of black widow coffins 🤩 so I've definitely been an oversharing client, my only time!
Thank you guys for making such informative videos, they are my lessons for my business. I would love a video of the ugly in the beauty industry like the contracts one might encounter and red flags of salons to look for when looking for employment. Thank you!
My ex boyfriend’s mom purposefully went to the salon my mother had a weekly appointment with and told everyone there I was a “little ‘ho.” Small town, we had been in a relationship for four years etc. Oh, my Lord! My mother has always been very demure about this guy and his faults because it’s a small town and she was raised to be “classy.” Well, she was already on edge over this relationship and mom basically let loose about what a P.O.S. he was. Including two of his fave side bi*ches who’s moms also frequented that salon. So, I basically never got my hair done there for like three years…
Small town life is crazy!! I’m sure the wife knew. I grew up in a small town and everyone knew everything! Sad 😞 and one of the reasons I moved when I was able to. I really don’t want to get involved in gossip and drama when I go to work in a salon. I am praying that the drama doesn’t cause me issues by being a tech that doesn’t get involved. I’ve heard salons can be really catty. 😒
Whew. I have one. I was doing this young girls nails and she brought another young girl with her. By time we were done, the extra girl bled all over my white chair. I was already freaking annoyed someone else was there when Nobody asked me. Clients are draining. Reason I moved away from doing nails for the general public.
*getting hair done* "I feel bad I should probably say something"😂 That's so me😂 Sometimes ppl forget that nail techs have morals & they would like to be able to sleep at night.Funny not funny💀
It's so funny that you mention a mechanic getting his nails done, my boyfriend is a mechanic and he begs me to do his nails weekly and with them working man's hands he definitely needs it😂
I got a client last week a man booked me to do her nails and a pedicure, he didn't return to pay for the service for the lady and in the process he had asked her for a phone call and he left with her phone,so she loose her phone and left to pay the bill. Upon questioning her she met him on a dating site and that would be their first face to face meeting
I used to have a male hairstylist years ago, who used to brag about how he loved beating other guys up. Every single appt I had to listen to him talk about his latest victim, till I finally stopped going to him. The guy needed anger management and probably ended up in jail.
We have an old saying regarding gossip where I come from: The dog that carries the bone is who gets it’s butt kicked. Think about when you give your dog a high value treat. It will typically gobble it up right there or guard it jealously. But not share it without a fight. It’s not going to carry it away from the safety of you, the giver of that “bone”😉.
One of my clients asked to use the restroom halfway through the service. She came back with a lil poop inside her nail 🥺 I saw it and died a little lmao. She then noticed and quietly wiped it on her pants 😭
I have been going periodically for 15+ years to get my nails done and I always feel bad because I am not a person who likes to talk. But if I do talk it's about generic things ex weather, nail design
I love clients like that. I can just do my job. As a nail tech I don't like to emotionally involve myself. I am polite but that as much as I like to put in...lol
I hate going to the nail salon and hearing all the yakking and gossiping. I don't like to talk when having nails done; I'd rather watch the TV they have on and just relax. But the women in there just won't shut up. So I learned to do my own nails and haven't been to a nail salon in years.
No joke, my one client, refered another client to me and then the first client ended up sleeping with the second clients husband. I never said anything and they both don't come to me anymore .. thank god. How common is this ?! Hahaha
I made up an alergy to a dog cuzz i hated to go to that house to make nails beacuse it was very dirty and i was pregnant so i found that excuse to avoid going there again

This was a JUICY chat. I love it. You guys did the right thing; I would tell a friend if someone was cheating on them!

This was a great video! Lots of juicy stuff 😆
Oh how I wish #youngnails was in Florida because my nail tech rarely talks to me
Whoa! I’ve been a salon regular for decades and had no idea these things happened.
❤️
I know way more than I should about sooo many things. 😬
Hopefully this will get me back in the groove of doing nails.. I’ve been out of it and over it for months now smh 🤦🏾♀️
