  • The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLE is a rolling showcase of technology. This brand new GLE is sold as a GLE 350 featuring a new 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder with 255hp. The power goes through a 9-speed automatic transmission to all four wheels. the more powerful GLE 450 features a new turbocharged in-line 6-cylinder engine that puts out 362hp, more than the last version called GLE 400. The GLE is available for the first time with an optional 3rd row seat with seating for up to 7-passengers. The GLE is now sold with three different suspensions starting with the base springs and shocks, then the air suspension and the new air suspension with E-Active Body Control. This uses a 48V system to to raise the body or lower it for bumps or off-road use, In addition the E-Active system has the ability to lean into a corner, the way a motorcycle does when cornering. The interior is a showcase, thanks to the new MBUX system featuring two 12.3-inch screen in the dash. These are controlled with touch pads on the steering wheel, a centre track pad, by touching the screen, using voice commands and even gesture controls. The GLE is loaded with all kinds of tech that will be coming in the summer of 2019 as a 2020 model.

    • @Porsche1969
      @Porsche1969 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tom Quin You are talking nonsense..., buddy! The driver display is absolutely "centred" with the steering wheel. Just look at the two round digital instruments in its standard adjustment, which are exactly and symmetrically to the steering wheel. You are seemingly too fucking stupid to understand this perfect size of digital displays being aligned horizontally on the dashboard.
      Please stop telling such bullshit, because this new GLE is still a car, and not a private movie theatre with stupidly large screens behing the steering wheel... like in no-name Chinese wannabe cars!

    • @RobertLeBlancPhoto
      @RobertLeBlancPhoto 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed. They went out of their way to get the two screens to butt up against each other so they could put a single overlay over both, yet were too cheap to get displays that were wide enough to be centered over the wheel and center console.

    I find it disappointing for a premium company to integrate a display like this.
    LE: Sorry I wasn't clear enough... I was referring to the fact that the displays in MB cars look like they were added after they finished the design. It looks like an improvised solution, not an intended one.

    • @andrew-hat
      @andrew-hat 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marvistv6551 I apologize for the confusion I created. I was referring to the way they chose to integrate it, not the fact that it is a touchscreen display. The display in C Class, for example, looks like it was added after they finished the design and they couldn't find a better, more premium solution, so they nailed it into the middle of the dashboard.
      (Also, I'm pretty sure calling me stupid is not a good argument. Try a better approach next time, maybe a more respectful one, I didn't offend you)
      Crunix kruznix
      I know you're being sarcastic, but honestly, the way Mercedes chose to implement those display in the dashboard it looks a bit improvised. Volvo is doing a great job at integrating a display.

    • @SDav21
      @SDav21 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andrew-hat The display here is done this way to make it look like it is floating in the binnacle. It is part of the design philosophy. It was definitely meant to be like that. You're also in the minority since most people love it. It looks so good in real life especially.

    What is with the crappy plastic around the wheel arches? I know that not all of the models would have it, however, as a leader in luxury, this should not even be a option for any level of trim. In addition, I would avoid air suspension like the plague, unless you are going to be leasing this type of vehicle. Sure, it adds to the driving comfort and what not, but when you are not under warranty the air suspension will put a whole in your wallet.

    The front is beautiful. The back looks like a 2010 Chevy Equinox. If I hear Zack say “prawduk” again I’m committing self immolation.

    The exterior of the car is ugly those headlights are not good and also too small , the integration of the screen is ugly if they use something like the E class the car would looks more elegant , like this the car looks like has an incomplete dash. Whatever I prefer the new X5 all the time.

    WOW By looking at the comments section of this (and every other video I look at nowadays!) all I can say is: We have become a Society of spoiled and entitled snobs! SO much negativity! This is a beautiful vehicle. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but if you cannot see how tremendously far we have come in the manufacturing arena, but rather see the downfalls of a vehicle like this, you might want to check yourself.

      creek hed couldn't agree more. Most comments are subjective so easily thrown away. The rest seem like pro trolls who likely could never afford one.
