Amnat Charoen (Thai: อำนาจเจริญ, pronounced [ʔām.nâːt t͡ɕā.rɤ̄ːn]) is one of Thailand's seventy-seven provinces (changwat) lies in central northeastern Thailand also called Isan. Neighbouring provinces are (clockwise from the south) Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, and Mukdahan. To the east it borders Salavan of Laos. Its name is a concatenation of อำนาจ ("authority, power") and เจริญ ("prosperous").

I have visited Thailand once, and I fell in love with the country. This video is nice, rural areas are relaxing to see. I'm just curious, how far is this from Bangkok? And, what do people usually do here for a living? I can see some of the houses are really big, but there seems to be no car nor people going around. Just some cute and seemingly friendly dogs. hehehe... Greetings from the Philippines.
