It is a nice walk up and over the little hill to Kata beach. Along the way there is a group of restaurants that are really good open air dining

it really is a nice beach. The best thing is to go in the water, turn around and look up and you will see the big white buddha at the top of the hills. Very surreal

Ubon is one place you must visit when you're there also if you can time it with Candle Festival you will enjoy it even more, the people in UB are nice especially to tourists who make the effort to visit that part of the country.

I have been there. its a shit hole like Vietnam and indonesia. full of scammers including police men. do not waste your time there unless you want cheap sex. there's tons of cheap sex workers there.

Hard to recognize places - but about 10 years ago I was a co-owner of a live music bar in Kata. Our clientel was mainly thai people relaxing after they finished work - and we didn,t close before sunrise, paying bribes to the police. And at closing time the ladies used to fight and quarrel outside...😅😅😂
