hey, at 3:07, you forgot the Leaf shutter guys who shoot MF and LF cameras!!, they can shoot up to 1/500 or 1/800th of a second or more, as the leaves open fully, then close, so no 'curtain' in the shot.
Godox basically offers two main transmitter options. There is the Godox X2T, which offers Bluetooth control with the Godox app, a built-in hotshoe on top to add an on-camera flash, and 32 channels with 5 groups. The other option is the Godox XPro which has a larger LCD and offers 16 groups over the X2T, but lacks the hotshoe on top and the Bluetooth connectivity. Both units work with all Godox flashes that have a built-in Godox X receiver. The right choice between the two transmitters comes down to which features would be most important to you. These transmitters are also camera dependent.
I have a Godox SK400ii Strobe and need a syncing cord to connect to a Fujifilm Camera. The Impact16' cord from B&H doesn't work. It fits into the strobe fine but the other end is the problem. I tried a hot shoe adapter that has a port, but the one recommended simply doesn't fit. At this point, I'm confused as to what connectors will actually work. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi there. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Godox set up. We invite you to contact us via Live Video Chat today so we may show you the set up in greater detail. This service is available until 7PM ET this evening.
I’m wondering if you could help me. I’ve just bought the Godox SK400II and I have a Canon EOS M50 camera. I bought a cable to connect them but I still can’t seem to sync them? Do I need a specific setting in my camera to do this? Or do I just have the wrong type of camera? Thanks!
If you don't already have an adapter for your EOS M50 to connect your sync cable, the Vello Universal Hot Shoe Adapter with 3.5mm Mini Phono and PC Connection, BH # VEHSAPCU35 would help greatly. bhpho.to/3JzWeIB
Hello! Great video, thanks a lot!! You say that motion blur is possible only if the shutter speed is slow enough. How slow would it have to be to create motion blur with a flash (I thought a flash would freeze the image in any way!).
The correct sync cable type would depend on the make and model of the strobe, as well as the specific Nikon camera model being used. However, a radio trigger would have more flexibility in terms of which strobes it can be connected with. One example that is compatible with current Nikon cameras is the Godox X1N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Set for Nikon, BH #GOX1N. This kit would consist of a receiver which slides onto the hotshoe of your camera and a receiver which can connect to a strobe with its included sync cables or even hot shoe type flashes. bhpho.to/2Tq7yyI
Depending on the model of strobe and remote, TTL may or may not be supported. If you would like to discuss this further, we invite you to reach via Live Chat on our website today until 8PM ET or call 1-800-606-6969 until 7PM ET.
The easiest way to sync strobes to your D3400 is with a radio trigger. The right radio trigger would depend on the exact strobes you're looking to use. We invite you to contact us via Live Chat today until 8PM ET so we can go over some options with you in greater detail.
how do you focus on a subject when the flash is only a fraction of a second and it's too dark to see the subject before the flash fires? I don't get flash photography at all and this video doesn't help
You may need to estimate the distance and zone focus, use infinity focus, or use a small continuous light shining on your subject while you are focusing. >Mark
Hola amigo, muy buen video pero creeme a la hora de comentar lo de front curtain o back curtain seria mejor si lo explicaras con ejemplos, es decir que pongas fotos reales de los efectos, Saludos
The strobes mentioned in this video do offer a optical slave mode, which would require the flashes to be in line of sight with one another in order to fire.

This has been a great help to a struggler like me. Many Thanks.
Glad it helped!
Helpful, thanks bro. I came to learn about shooting with high apertures. Almost bought a strobe that didn't have HSS

In canon m50 you need to switch off Exposure Simulation to use it with external light
Good refresher course and I am always trying to learn more.
Please make more videos you are amazing at explaining things!! Thank you

You may have to experiment a bit to get the desired results. You could start from 1/30 of a second and work your way down.
How do you deal with nikon D5100 and D3200, I've the same sync cable but there is nowhere I can plug it in my camera 😭
The Nikon AS-15 Sync Terminal Adapter (Hot Shoe to PC), B&H # NIAS15 would allow both of your Nikon cameras to accept a sync cable.

What about if you just want to connect the light directly to the camera
You might want to consider the Profoto A10 AirTTL-C Studio Light for Canon

In the thumbnail it looks like you attached the strobe to the camera with some sort of bracket.

would nikon d500 synch with this then ??
The Nikon D500 can sync with many strobes, including the Profoto monolights featured in the video.
Grateful for these videos! (Please turn down the music - sounds too much like beer cans being fed through a wood chipper to my aging ears.)

What about slave mode?
The strobes mentioned in this video do offer a optical slave mode, which would require the flashes to be in line of sight with one another in order to fire.
