I find it so funny when Satoshi describes what something tastes like in his own special way and Shinichi says "what does that mean?" 😆 you guys are adorable!
Thank you Tobi Eats this world needs caring and loving people like you both. Traveling and sharing your privilege online warms people in their desperation.
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi, my mouth waters with the food you share on your videos. Bonus, the beautiful place to sit and eat your food. Have a very beautiful day. You made mine a beautiful day with your video. Thank you
Miyajima holds a special place in my heart. After going to the peace museum in Hiroshima I needed a place to recharge my soul after experiencing the sadness of the history. Miyajima was exactly what was needed!
Wow that matcha ice cream is one of the most beautiful things I've seen. I remember eating like 5 matcha cones in Kyoto. Thank you for the awesome, aesthetic video!
Hi boys!! Everything looked delicious, but those anko momiji manju looked amazing! They remind me of my favorite ningyo yaki. The other flavors looked delicious as well! Especially that one with the hard cheese inside. Thank you for the tour of Miyajima. I’m sorry about the Torii gate though.
Am so happy you two went to Miyajima and shared the videos with all of us here. I MISS HIROSHIMA & MIYAJIMA 😭 I MISS JAPAN! Funny that I only got a chance to visit Japan one time only and am falling in love with Japan, eventhough I had to walk A LOT there (average about 16,000 steps a day just to do sightseeings from 8am to 5-6pm 🥴😮💨😁)
The cheese ones are soo good!! I live in Iwakuni! So we usually to to Miyajima a lot just to eat. I’m going to miss Japan when it’s time for us to leave this beautiful country.
I miss coming here! I lived 30 minutes away in Iwakuni by car and would come here a lot of weekends. I would just gorge on their steamed buns and manju all the time lol
Thank you for sharing your trip to Miyajima. I last visited there with my wife and daughter and it will shortly be the anniversary of my wife's passing so your trip brought back very nice memories for me. Arigato gozaimasu.
Love the intro , and nice to see Satoshi behind the camera great work 👍. Bento with eel so good , the soft serve so creamy nice. I really love this place its history and peacefulness. Makes me want to visit Japan.
Anago is not my favorite either, but I'd try that bento. The fish cake was interesting. I think I would like the fruit flavors of the manju - the Apple and the lemon.
Hi Shinichi and Satoshi. This is my first comment. I have enjoyed your videos for such a long time. I do have a question growing up in California and spending summers in Hilo and Honolulu. I remember lots of Japanese pickles that my grandmother and her friends would make and they seemed to have disappeared. I remember shredded daikon in a sweet brown liquid with sesame seeds called zambai zuke- not sure if that was the real name as it had been ages. Do you have any memories of pickles that you had growing up that have mysteriously disappeared? Also in Hawaii, there used to be delicious sweet senbei. Senbei now seems to be just savory. Perhaps a topic for a video? Please keep up the great videos, very enjoyable! Cheers.
Did you stay over or was the ferry still running after sunset? I would want to stay over. Miyajima is so beautiful. Your anago bento looked so delicious. I love momiji manju. Thank you taking us along.
I love to try the anago meshi, but I never like it when my rice gets too saucy. Sometimes they pour extra sauce over the rice first and I never like eating that. I think my favourite momiji manju would be the anko version. I just love anko and the custard one would probably for me as well. And I want that soft serve!!!! I always liked Tokyo, though teh suburbs more and more to the busy centers but recently I think I could like in a quieter town as well. I'm really getting older hahahaha. Just a fun fact about Miyajima (don't know if you know that one already) but intil the late 19th century, because Miyajima is a sacred place, death was not allowed on the island so not sure how the people who lived there abided by that rule. If I remember correctly, the same is true for birth.
I've yet to enjoy Japanese cheeses. You guys are a great duo that really enjoy the splendors of various cuisines throughout the land...I am excited for the day I make the Trip over to Japan! ( ◜‿◝ )
I was working in a cruise ship and got lucky can squeeze a visit to this magical place despite very tight working schedule. Thank God the torii was out there in all its glory for the whole world to see. I didn't have the luxury of time to wander the island eating my way around and waiting for the low tide though T_T Gentlemen, thank you so much for sharing this astonishing excursion, I wish you both good health and can't wait for your next expedition. PS : Can I request a hanami? preferably somewhere in Hokaido >_
Hmm, I like to imagine a torii gate line with 6 different gates each of the gates displaying a state of a human's life since birth to old age, and the last gate could be a test of might
Shinichi, which of the two places you mentioned having wild deer roaming around, is the place where the Priests round up the deer. They saw off their antlers (because the deer sometimes kill people) and offer them a cup of saki for the insult to their dignity before releasing them.
Hey guys, I'm having trouble hearing the speaking parts of you videos, the music that is cut in is really loud. Overpowering. There is nothing wrong with my kindle fire, it works fine on other programs, can you tune down your music parts thanks. 😁😀
Oh yeah! Isn’t it the island where it’s forbidden to hunt and to chop down trees? Man, it’s amazing if you think about they had to import all the wood for the shrine.
Mary! We (I mean my Award winning Merry Monarch Mens Halau) would like to see you and Satoshi dress in FULL DRAG and do a food review in order to really push the envelope in Japan. We all know that all of your viewers will obviously cheer the effort. But what we (Mahu's) want to accomplish making sure we are not excluded from the discriminatory ideology the political Japanese community promotes. You and Satoshi can be pioneers in making a change in Japan's double standard towards the LGBTQ+ community. Love and Kisses Mahu Kona.
I find it so funny when Satoshi describes what something tastes like in his own special way and Shinichi says "what does that mean?" 😆 you guys are adorable!
I love how beautiful all of the packaging is in Japan. It shows care and pride in your product.
Thank you Tobi Eats this world needs caring and loving people like you both. Traveling and sharing your privilege online warms people in their desperation.
I would love to walk to the gate! So many delicious food! 😋😋😋
How beautiful is the sunset?! 🤩
That gate looked marvelous, and that icecream was adorable.

On my bucket list for my next trip to Japan. What does meshi mean?
Thanks for watching. Meshi can mean a meal or rice.
I went der dec 2019.. beautiful place but also very touristy so many people…the torii gate is also under renovation already at that time…
yum
What is the Japanese for unctuous ? That looked fantastic, must have so much taste.
Did you stay over or was the ferry still running after sunset? I would want to stay over. Miyajima is so beautiful. Your anago bento looked so delicious. I love momiji manju. Thank you taking us along.
We would’ve loved to stay overnight but it was a day trip for us

Excellent video, wished we had manju here! Kind of weird to see the video get hit by bots, but please pay no mind to them

~ I’m kind of disappointed you guys don’t use the words shoyu & hashi…J/S! ⛩ Love your videos, though. My dream vacation is to visit Japan.

Might be molasses instead of brown sugar..
not gay but i want my own Satoshi to foodtravel with
