How to use the smart gate

The smart gate, engineered and powered by emaratech, is recognized as the most efficient and most advanced around the world from a technical, operational and security integration aspects that ensure the highest standards of safety and security to all passengers.
Currently, UAE citizens and residents, GCC citizens and 43 pre-approved visa on arrival citizens can use the smart gate without any prerequisites, except an electronic passport & free-of-charge biometric registration.
Passports, Emirates ID cards, existing e-Gate cards and smart phones bar codes are all compatible with the smart gate system.

I truly love the smart gate features at all UAE airports. It's easy, convenient, and saves time for travelers. Being a frequent flyer and world-tourer, I truly love this UAE feature (honestly also for not putting the stamps taking pages of my passport and helping it not to finish first) that surpasses the smart standard over many countries and airports all over the world.
Hats off to the UAE govt. and UAE airport authorities for this amazing amenity.
