    I absolutely love the habitat! It's amazing.
    As for a bird pack; I don't know if it's just me but I'm hoping for a mix of both aviary and habitat birds.
    So say toucans, owls, eagles, macaws etc. in the aviary and pelicans, pheasants and a new crane species for the habitats. That would make a great addition in my opinion

      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that will probably be the case. Anything that needs a flight animation will end up on say an exhibit style aviary, those that don’t they will continue as a habitat animal as they have done so far.

      my personal design for an aviary pack would include 5 habitat birds; RockHopper Penguin, Marabou Stork, Trumpeter Swan, Emu and Dalmatian Pelican
      10 Aviary Birds - Scarlet Macaw, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Rock Dove, Victoria Crowned Pigeon, Toco Toucan, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Peregrine Falcon, King Vulture, Red Crested Turaco and Gouldian Finch
      and 10 bonus Birds for the previous DLCs not counting Twilight pack which has the Egyptian Fruit Bat
      Arctic - Snowy Owl
      S. America - Andean Cock of the Rock
      Australia - Kookaburra
      Aquatic - Mandarin Duck
      SE Asia - Greater Bird of Paradise
      Africa - African Grey Parrot
      N. America - Bald Eagle
      Europe - Common Raven
      Wetlands - African Sacred Ibis
      Conservation - Blue-Billed Curassow

      Me too! I only hope when we get them we get some more exhibit boxes that are smaller because this item is huge.

    Great video and great build again! really like the idea of sinking the ig exhibit into the ground to scale it down. And the scarab beetle fits perfectly into that build, in my opinion.🙂

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. It really is the only way to scale it down, it’s very large. I’m sure there will be a lot of fascinating ways people use this exhibit box for sure

    this bat exhibit makes me think of the african section in antwerp zoo. after descending into a batcave you enter an aviary with african wildbuffalo's that has a little incline making it end at the "normal' level. something you'd have to look at!

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll be sure to check that out :)

    Really like this build, Dan! The windows for the bat exhibit are the perfect decision, because it would have felt too enclosed and claustrophobia-inducing otherwise. As for the implied exhibit, maybe something like a South African Springhare could work, with a few tweaks in the habitat? It would fit with the desert/arid vibes that the fennec fox and scarab beetle already give in this building.

      @CommonFabian ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also you mention that you'd love the rubber curtain of the exhibit entrance as a piece for the game and - correct me if I'm wrong since I didn't have early access, but I've seen other TH-camrs mention that it also comes as a separate piece, so you might be able to use it for the insect house after all!

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CommonFabian Yeah it is in the game, I missed it when I was having a look through. Its a little on the large size but will make for a perfect piece in many areas.

  • @michaelwaddington1356
    @michaelwaddington1356 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great habitat. On the size, I will say that having been through Chester Zoos walk through numerous times, its probably 3 or 4 times bigger than the one in planet zoo

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      My issue with the size is more so how big it is at ground level, it's obscene when you're trying to make it look realistic inside a building.

    • @michaelwaddington1356
      @michaelwaddington1356 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had meant that it was 3 or 4 times bigger floorspace wise, although having looked into it more its apparently the biggest in Europe and houses 400 bats so that would make sense

    This build is absolutley nuts. I love the tropical feel of the exhibit and how lush it is. The water feature too is absolutley genius. I did just a little bit of research for your implied habitat and thought of an egyptian cobra, sand cats, or maybe the egyptian mongoose. Something small that stays within the geographic theme of the area with the Fennec foxes and the fruit bats. In any case, exceptional work as always, and I hope to catch a few of the streams this week. All the best man.

      Cheers Logan! Thanks for the animal suggestions too.

  • @NewAge374

    The implied habitat could house a cobra or genet/civet. Could give some spice to it and rounds out the quartet!
    The exhibit boxes are looking to get a lot of attention, and the educators handling them would make sense with some bird species too. If we were to get different sizes I think it would be limited to certain species: so this large one would work best with bats or medium-large birds; but half this size (and a little shorter) in a rectangle would be the typical aviary look for small to medium birds.
    The look during the day of indoor enclosures is a bit odd, could you show us what it looks like at night! Should be neat with some red spot lights!

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've always said the lights should still be working during day time hours in the game because it mimics real life more in such buildings. We just have to deal with what we are given unfortunately haha

    🤯 Mind blown! What an incredible build 🦇! The more of this zoo that gets built, the more I would want to visit Tropical Wings in real life. Great insights into how the walkthrough exhibits work too; I might have to pinch your idea of sinking it into the ground to make it work in my zoo too.
    As to what implied species to put in that enclosure, I’d suggest either bushbabies or pottos though it would need some modifications. Both species are absolutely nocturnal so having them in a daylit building with loud people would stress them out, though you could make that part of the building into a small nocturnal area perhaps? The other problem would be that they could very easily escape out the staff entry the way it is designed right now, especially the bushbabies. You would only need to add a small double-lock door system just small enough for a keeper or two to fit into before they opened the habitat door. That’s a lot to say for just an implied habitat, but you’re a detail connoisseur so I hope you don't mind 😁.
    Lastly, I don’t think I’ve been more optimistic about the future of the game since diving was added in 2020. This walkthrough aviary system is perfect for adding small walkthrough bird species like Rainbow Lorikeets or Budgerigars, though more shapes and sizes are needed (though limitation does breed creativity). I’m definitely in the camp of aviary birds being a when not if at this point in the game.

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. I totally agree, I definitely see this as the first step to many more flying animals being placed in the game now. The exhibit box is so big though and that for me will need a lot of work before they add some smaller bird species as they will just get lost in the current exhibit box.

    What roof pieces do you use on your buildings. Great work

    • @DanXG
      @DanXG  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the roof it's usually a mixture of the metal panels and plaster. You can offset them quite nicely with the internal ceilings :)
