Yes to the graphic stream. I don`t have any clue on how to do such things so it would be a nice edition. The hab is very nice, natural and i love the idea of separating the building into 2 different sides. I like the lower viewing as well, cause in a lot of zoos you whatch exhibits from bigger paths. For the bat i might have an idea if the box is too big. You could include it into a giraffe / savanna House. Cause this building has to be very high. If the exhibit has glass sides, from where you can see the bats without walking in, you could build a outside poath to it. But higher than the inside walkway. So you can see the hanging bats on eye level. If you turn around you maybe could have a a giraffe on eye level too. Hope thats understandable. Keep up the great work :)
Thats not a bad but it really depends if the giraffe house works that way, I really don't know what's going to happen with that just yet. We will see and I will be sure to keep it in mind :)
Hey Dan, really happy to see you back with Tropical Wings! I've been dropping by in your streams now and then (but never managed to catch them live), but it is really nice to see a full episode once again. I love the amount of planning and detailing you put into this zoo, and also the fact that you share your thoughts in such an elaborate way, simply because it allows to get so invested into this project. Easily one of my favorite Planet Zoo projects that I'm following (with Cesar's being up there too, who I'm glad to see you mentioning in your episodes too!) I don't really have any ideas to contribute at the moment simply because I think the plans you did share all sound fantastic, but I just wanted to drop by and let you know how much i enjoyed this episode. Fantastic work!
Thank you so much Fabian I really appreciate the lovely comment and it's always nice to hear that the people I make these little videos for are enjoying them.
Everything looks great man, really love the inside of the barn and the zoo is looking great. Definitely love the idea of a "billboard and sign" stream, just to see your processes on it. When it comes to the elephants and the tropical house, those are gonna be some monster projects. Maybe get an outline of where you want your elephant facilities to be first and then go to the tropical house. I know that elephant enclosures take up massive amounts of space in the real world depending on a bunch of different factors. In any case, I know whatever you build is gonna look great. All the best man, and have a good one!
Yes, yes to a graphic design stream! This hab should be standard example of large hoofstock enclosures: nice woodland and that shelter is a nice open vibe, I can smell the cow dung. Random question: How tall is the skywalk going to be? It sounds like you want to go up before away from that raised area of the Komodo kingdom. I wonder how the fruit bat exhibit will be implemented, but next to the Fennec Fox is a lovely idea. A little shack/cave/temple on the inside I think works well. Even though you're not a fan of theming, indoor enclosures sometimes have a bit more juice to them to sell a specific vibe I don't mind what the next thing is, it'll be a great surprise and I'll be on top of your channel when the video is uploaded!
I did test a minimum path height against current pathways and it doesn't have to go up super high tbh. I really need to sit and flesh it all out one day, it's definitely possible it just needs some rigorous planning. Until I get my hands on the new exhibit box I won't really be able to work it out much, but the bats in that area kind of make sense for me. If it turns out it's bigger than expected I will re-plan it and maybe stick in a very different part of the zoo. This are all just my early ideas :).
Hi Dan. New profile name, same bloke who does the long species lists in the comments. 👏 fantastic enclosure for the water buffalo. The house is incredible and I love the shade from the trees, the custom fences and the natural pond. Putting in my two pennies worth, I think on a chronological and logistical point of view, I would start building the elephant area first. The elephants will be the most space-demanding (minus the polar bear) of all the animals in the zoo, so planning their main yard, bull elephant yard, house and backstage areas first will then give you a much better idea of how to fit the rest of the later tropical house outside exhibits around it; especially if there’s a lot of terraforming to do. An irl enclosure I would look at for inspiration is Zoo Planckendael’s elephant enclosure in Belgium. Not only is it a large Asian Elephant complex, it also has a tree-walk next door used for viewing. It has a ZooLex article and justGoron uploaded a tour of the Asia area it’s a part of in August
Thank you for the suggestion and info, makes a lot of sense to get that built based on what you've said. I will definitely check out the elephant hab in the zoo suggested too, I will need plenty of references for such a big project.
@@DanXG No worries 😁. Some other Asian Elephant enclosures I can think of, off the top of my head, for inspiration include Smithsonian National Zoo’s Elephant Trails, Chester, Dublin, Whipsnade Zoo’s new Elephant House, Oregon Zoo’s Elephant Lands and if you plan on doing an extremely high-end build, Zürich or Copenhagen’s Elephant Houses
Love love love! So glad TW is back!!
Thanks Chelsea, glad to have the series back

Woop wopp 190 views in 4 hours wow!
Thats what we like to see
If you also add the badger than the raccon and badgers often share a house
Won't be adding the badger, animal list is very much set in stone
