TDL does Disney better than actual Disney in the states, especially WDW. Splash Mountain in TDL looks beautiful and detailed, and you can tell lots of love and care has gone to it. I hope it does stick around for a long time. Thank you for showing off this beloved ride for many to see.
Also, yes. All of the grass and plants are indeed real. This was also the case for Disneyland’s right up until it closed. Walt Disney World’s switched to fake grass at some point in the mid 2010s.
I am so excited to see you made it over there. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. 🙏🙏 Looking forward to more masterpiece vids of yours. 🎉🎉 I agree. They need to keep this ride alive. People will visit this park for the uniqueness of having this ride.
Love that OLC arguably has a bigger commitment to Disney's standards than Disney themselves, and it's a huge part of why I do consider it my favorite overall resort.
I really appreciate you making this video! The ride and land was made with so much care and the maintenance inside and out of the land just shows how much they love and cherish critter country and the critters themselves ❤️ I hope the ride stays for generations to enjoy 😭❤️
I love your opening statement! Right now, my job takes me to Tokyo often, and I visit TDR as much as possible. I know the easy access won’t last forever when I need to pay for all those flights myself. 🤣 The classic magic is alive and well over there.
You are darn right! The original Walt Disney "magic" is alive and well in Tokyo,...and they want to make SURE you know and see it! OLC deeply LOVES Disney's history and I love that about them. They are definitely "fans" like us! Their two parks are made "by" fans, "for" fans!
I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the Japanese Disney parks! Did you get a chance to see the show at DisneySea, Believe! Seas of Dreams? I wasn't able to see it well when I went-it was too crowded, and I just wasn’t in a good spot. But if you made a video for it, like you've done for the shows at the other parks, I'm sure it would be amazing! Honestly, I find your videos even better than watching the shows in person, with all the clarity and POV shots you manage to capture.
Yep,...I got both Nightime Spectaculars. I only got Sea of Dreams one night. I have TWO nights rained out, so I don't know if I have enough footage for a good video. "I got plenty of "Reach for the Stars" though.
Honestly, the animatronics are not a simplistic as some people would have you believe. Most have at least 4 dozen individual movements. As far as overall quality and quantity are concerned, you won’t find a better lineup of animatronics in any ride than the ones in Splash Mountain!
Wonderful video. Thanks 🙏. Interesting you weren’t allowed to bring your camera on the ride. Nice to see the canoe ride. I remember going on it when my kids were young at WDW. The peddling pianist was great too!
Amazing video again as always! Welcome to Japan! I'm so glad you made it! Hope you enjoyed your time at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. P.S. Fun fact about Splash in Tokyo: the angle of the last drop actually changes with the seasons! In summer, the drop angle gets steeper, but in winter, it becomes a bit gentler. Wait, is this only a Tokyo thing, or did the WDW and California versions have this too? One more fun fact: the sponsor of Splash in Tokyo has changed before. It used to be Nissan, but now it's Kao, a Japanese healthcare and cosmetics company. Kao even added a 'hand-washing area' where you can literally wash your hands with Mickey-shaped soap!
I....LOVE....TOKYO! I can't wait to go back. I might even go back in OCT 2025. I'm going to spend a LOT of money at Universal and Epic Universe in 2025 so most of my budget is going there next spring and summer but I'd love to squeeze in another Tokyo trip at the end of the year. "Journey to the Center of the Earth" was closed the week I was there. So I can use that as mu excuse to return soon.
@@CLIFFLIX You’ve got to come back to Japan and ride Journey to the Center of the Earth! It’s truly the best and one-of-a-kind attraction at Tokyo DisneySea. It seems like Disney is going through a phase of NOT wanting to be political currently, so maybe they won’t try to push it as hard anymore. We can only hope.

Seems like Disney is starting to snap out of their DEI political phase a bit the past few months, maybe they’ll stop trying so hard to go after this Splash as a result? Still wish we had an undo button for the other two Splashes
Well?...Burbank is 100% ready to destroy Disney's "Rivers of America" and the Liberty Belle boat. I don't see them slowing down on their social/political activism one bit yet. I just HOPE that OLC can protect their "Splash Mountain" and fight off Burbank's attacks and pressure to destroy it. I'm rooting soooo hard for OLC!!
