I love everything about this car. So much so I SPECIAL ORDERED one. I only have 1400 miles on it to date. As far as the front grill, every day I see it I like it more. It has ATTITUDE written all over it much to my liking. Critics that don't like the grill all I can say is you are missing out regarding the tons of fun this sports car generates. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments I have received in such a short time. To each his own.
R O: I agree with your statement. At the beginning, I was not a fan of the grill; however, it is growing on me. It looks much better in person than pictures. I was going to wait and purchase a M4; however, I brought a '21 M5 Comp last August. Enjoy your ride! 👍
Kayano, Interesting comment you made. I am very curious, what would you recommend regarding the rear end? You are correct on the front end, but I think the rear-end is most attractive on the exterior with the twin trapezoid tailpipes and small spoiler. However, the sides of the car a close second. I appreciate your comment. Thank you!
@@RO-cf3lz The rear exhaust is awesome, I wouldn’t change a thing there. I was thinking something less angular and futuristic on the tail lamps. The front end looks pompous in a good way, the rear looks too safe.
I just bought mine last week. Black Sapphire with Tacora Red Leather Interior. It’s loaded. I love the grill. I haven’t met a single person who doesn’t like it. Not sure why so many people act like they dislike it on social media, except for the fact that maybe they know it outdates the thinner grill look. Anyway, it is the best driving car I have owned and I have owned about everything.
Great review! I loved how his companion kept holding on when Ben accelerated Yes, I am praying for you!!!)! I went to my local dealership to test it. I am considering purchasing one with X-Drive!
Thanks for the great review. I pulled the trigger and ordered one last week (after confirming that my golf clubs will fit in the trunk with the top down - something that I couldn't so with the previous hardtop version). Your review made me feel even better about my choice for my next Bimmer. I hope I have half as much fun driving it as you did! I actually like the front grill as well.
Impressive what BMW can do with just a little bit of engine, a dual clutch and mild hybrid. Makes the performance affordable. If an R230 SL500 driver likes it then it must be good.
As always, nice review. Note: Currently, the 4 series convertibles are rear wheel drive hence, the 5.0 sec 0-60 times. The coupes are available with X-Drive and has a 4.3 sec 0-60. Hopefully, BMW will give the convertible the XDrive option.
As someone who just traded in his C43 for the M440i I would very much disagree with your assertion that c43 is more luxurious and the 440 is more sporty. I would agreed that the 440 is definitely the better car; faster, smoother/more linear, more modern interior and a far better daily driver. But the C43 definitely handles much better and is far more twitchy. The C43 suspension is so tight that can be really unpleasant to drive in many circumstances and the throttle is tuned so that is hard to not peel out off the line. In short C43 drives much more like a true sports car (and that isn't always good thing) and the 440 is a significantly more polished product.
@@troytruong8246 You may have a point for some, but not all. It definitely doesn’t look as bad when the grill is blacked out. Perhaps it will grow on me but for now, I’m not a lover!
That front snout makes this a NO for me. For $70k I can find a few other vehicles that offer good if not outstanding performance and looks way better. It's a no go.

I don't mind the grill, but I think the rear end needs something equally audacious. It looks like two different cars.

Incredible review. Just subscribed
“Mercedes, I’m talking about you” great!! That half screen CarPlay has to die! 7:50

"I know it. You know it. Everybody knows it." LOL
What an awesome channel. Nice to see both of your perspectives on the cars.

I am extremely happy for you you look like it’s such a good man and your wife too👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Saw one today in white at grocery store. Pretty snazzy. Do they still make it?
I love the grill. About time they did something different. The flat long grill is the style.
Great video! Looks like such a sweet car too. Hoping to pick up a used one in a couple years.
The green outside and the white inside looks great.
Awesome bro!
Great photography and great lighting. Car looks gorgeous!!

What’s going on Brother Ben, with love all the way from South Africa…
This is a stunning looking auto, excellent specs. Great in-depth review and analysis. Thanks for sharing.
driving pleasure !
I’m waiting to comparison shop the 440 vert with the soon to be released m4 xdrive vert. An embarrassment of riches.
That SNOUT...goddamn.
Very good review
That bucktooth grill... could have been better- trying to hard
just CAN'T with that front grill.. But great review!
Love the car. The grill though I'm not convinced - looks like it would suit a BBQ :)
The grill is a no for me, I really believe BMW is trying to hard to be different.
I love this car…apart from that fucking grill. It just doesn’t look right.
tell that to the notch of apple screen. Everybody still buys apple. Things grow on you over time. I'm sure the big grille. I love it.

That face. Man I can’t get past that face. They ruined it intentionally, unbelievable.
It's just fugly (f*ckin' ugly)!! The side profile is just plain jane.

It’s a okay car. Just don’t like convertibles. Not my thing.
Great review. Well filmed and narrated.
