Magic!!!! My goodness! You made this look so easy and wonderful. I have always been fearful of using a serger and active wear material. Not anymore! BRAVO!!! Thank you! Be Bless.
Awesome tutorial. You made it look so easy. Thank you for sharing your techniques. I have been having this pattern for a while and was afraid to tackle it. You have given me the confidence to do so.
Phenomenal video. I was just about to start working on this pattern and had planned to use my serger but it never even occurred to me to use a flatlock stitch. Brilliant!! Would love to see a video for the activewear top for this pattern.
I loved the tutorial, it was great. What type of fabric did you use and where did you find it? I’m having such a hard time finding any nice prints that are thick enough to use for leggings
Thanks for the video! I have a pattern for workout leggings and wanted to use my serger but it seemed a bit intimidating until I watched this. Can't wait to give it a try!
@@EricaBunker Do you struggle to calculate the seamallowance? Where to cut i mean? Because markings are much clearer on a regular sewing machine compared to a serger
Thanks so much Erica for this tutorial 👍. I haven't seen anyone show that flat lock stitch so well and have wondered for a while how it was achieved. Can you tell me if all overlockers can do this stitch? I must experiment with my machine more...... 😊😘
Looking good!!! I remember a time when you had no interest in making activewear and now you're making it look too easy!!! Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely put those into use when I cut into my activewear fabrics soon. Does this mean lingerie is next?

Wow! I’m so new to sergers, I had no idea they could sew stitches like this! I’ll have to try making myself some workout apparel with my new serger.
mrsgomezfhl They are capable of so much!
Beautifully done! Thank you!🦋

I think I’m going to make these today finally. I’ve actually never used this serger stitch so thank you so much Lady E!! Can’t wait!!!!
The workout tights look great!!! Now that's a nice quick sew....you can make several pairs of these in no time.
MsExcite1 I’ve already made 2 pairs and a top that I’m super excited about. Thanks!

Argi A Thank you so much!
I enjoy watching your videos, I'm glad you are posting more lately. Sewing vlogs get me through the treadmill portion of my workouts!
I love this!!!

Sandi SHORTER Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. Always presented in an easy to do project......and it is. The stitch you used looks so neat and easily done. 🌹
Brilliant video and perfect timing for me as I’m just about to use this pattern.
Great tips....many thanks.

@@pattydessauer9302 Thanks! Some kind of spandex 4 way stretch activewear fabric. It was 6 years ago… maybe Mood Fabrics
I wanted to like this so many times 😍😍

Wonderfully done Erica! And a nice speedy project! FIESTA 👍
mad14kt Thanks Monica!
Awesome video. Do you by chance have a sew-along video for the jacket?
TaDarling1 No, because I don’t like the jacket. Thanks.
Awesome video, could you do one for the matching jacket of this pattern too?
Now that you had these leggings for awhile, how well did the 2-thread flatlock stitch hold up in this application?
I've always seen them done with a 3 or 4 thread seam so nothing rips apart [w/4 thread better but not quite as stretchy as 3].
Nice tights!
Glenda Sam Thank you!
Are you doing a flatlock with the blade on?
I am.

Beautiful
Teresa Pradd Thank you!
You are amazing! Please let us know when you will be in Atlanta again...we would love for you tp do a "meet & greet."
Thank you!
Relationship Rocket Science I’m glad you like it!
Great tutorial! Thanks. so having the basic pattern 5:37, it's just a matter of being creative with the shape molding your legs...
Great job! Did you put an elastic inyour waistband?
Andrea Jordan You don’t have to. It’s compression performance spandex and the negative ease is elastic enough. Thank you!

Sally Dingle They can! I tested it out also on my Janome 7933.
Superb. You are Great madem
Is the pattern available for purchase?
Nice work. I have this same pattern but I dont have a serger. Can you use a sewing machine to make these tights
A sewing machine would defeat the purpose. The point of a flat lock stitch is to make sure that there are no seam allowances and everything is flat.

Could you please share what type of pins you are using. Thank you.🌹
When I join my seams using a flatlock, they seem to fall apart?
Hi there, what cotton did you use?
Cotton?
no cotton, it's a polyester, spandex blend fabric.
Great job! Did you put an elastic inyour waistband?
