    I can't sew but your tips and tutorials can someone like myself and many other fix their clothing and get them into sewing as well. Great job

    Are you sewing the main fabric of the waistband 1/8th inch below the top of the facing waistband? Or the other way around?

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The facing piece is 1/8" lower than the main fabric. I really should have used two different colours here. haha! made it hard to tell when they are both the same fabric.

    Why don’t you just use the serger for the sewing too?? Just curious! Please lmk

    What parts can use my serger and coverstitch

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, I would say any of the seams could use the serger or coverstitch. I need a new pair of leggings, I think I'll re-make the video with the coverstitch too!

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, they really are rather easy to stitch up. The trickiest part is handling the slippery fabric.

  • @peacheskong2245
    @peacheskong2245 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You only demonstrated the back of the leggings and didn't take the time to show what it looks like from the front especially where it concerns the crotch area, a tricky area especially with leggings.

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are right! Perhaps I'll make another tutorial and really go into more detail on them. Thanks for the note :)

    I'm sorry but the hardest part of these leggings is sewing the waistband and you just didn't the footage? It would've been worth it to have reshot this whole video if you're filming a tutorial and just skip over the most complicated part...

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmmm... I do have footage on the waistband starting at 4:53
      Was there anything in particular you might have wanted to see more slowly or perhaps at the machine as well? I need a new pair of leggings and will be doing another leggings tutorial soon (this time showing you how to add pockets!)

    • @jenniferj3102
      @jenniferj3102 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I 100% agree with this. The sewing of the elastic and flipping and understitching is very unclear in the pattern instructions. It would have been awesome to see this done in the video

  • @Andrea-ov5yu
    @Andrea-ov5yu ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The elastic waist was all i really wanted to see. Waste of time.

    • @SheerStitchery
      @SheerStitchery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry you feel that way. I made this video several years ago and sorry if the footage didn’t show the elastic waist part through enough. Happy to make another video going through that part in more detail. I can always use another pair of leggings. 😊

    That was an amazing tutorial Katherine and loved the explation for the stitching around the crotch gusset area, that was very detailed in explanation
    And yes, no one wants to see a ladies undergarments when they are exercising

  • @dianedean521
    @dianedean521 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Your video is unclear to me. The pants are too dark to see and I really need to see the entire video, especially the waistband that you omitted. Can you talk slower and use light colored fabric?

    • @SheerStitchery
