And both times it ruined the momentum of a major draw in the ruthless aggression era Punk’s Pipebomb enabled other wrestlers to bitch and complain on TV and backstage about their booking to get pushes Yes Movement started the indie workrate bullshit. Guys like Bryan, AJ Styles, Finn Balor, KO, Sami Zayn who didn’t belong in WWE were signed on and stunk up the division

Here's my top 10 reasons why The Pipebomb and Yes Movement were detrimental towards wrestling industry: 1. It awakened the IWC smark fans. 2. It created this false narrative that part-time wrestlers like Goldberg, The Rock, Lesnar, and Batista are not fit to be main eventers. 3. It made wrestlers who would have been enhancement talent like a Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn a false sense of entitlement by thinking that they deserve to be main eventers. 4. It put pressure on WWE and other wrestling promotions to hire wrestlers who are indie darlings. 5. It made mediocre at best wrestlers that are not fit to be main eventers the power to complain and go on a tyrade on the wrestling company they work in because of the so called perceived injusticed they faced. 6. It made wrestlers that are small and unappealing towards normal people being given the pushed that they think deserved. 7. It allowed the IWC smark fans to hijack the wrestling company to the point that these promoters have no choice but to caved in to their demands. 8. It made casual fans like me and others become disinterested in wrestling. 9. It lead to ratings declining and it never recovered. 10. It never amounted to anything in terms attracting new viewers and every flavor of the month that are pushed ends up being a flop.

The first reason is that those fans have been around watching wrestling since the 90s and after the pipebomb happens their voice amplified even more. The ninth reason I can see the ratings dropping anytime and every boom period that happend in WWE have gone on a down slope right after Golden Era and Attitude Era ended.

These two key events pretty much started the downfall of pro wrestling. Pro wrestling really needs WCW to come back to life and start putting belts to arses. I really think that WCW would have nipped this entire movement in the butt immediately as soon as it started.
