    I have checked out a few, and most don't tend to be worth it for me.
    Questions I'm not sure I've seen you cover-
    You mentioned in this video that 300 for a 3 day event is high for you. What do you consider a reasonable booth fee for a per day event? And what is your goal per day for most events? Not exact numbers per se, but percentages maybe? Like 10x booth fee, etc...

    • @HandmadeHappiness-you
      @HandmadeHappiness-you 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ooh yeah! I was curious about that too!

    • @camryns_cute_creations
      @camryns_cute_creations  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'd say my average booth fee per day is about $60, so while $100 is on the high side relative to that, I have done far more costly shows, but those are exceptions.
      I couldn't say exactly my goals, as they aren't formed relative to the cost of the event, but 10x booth fee would probably represent a good starting point for an initial sales goal!

    I love seeing how people used their tent frames at an indoor show, vs the stansions with curtains to define their space. I crochet plushies, and would be nervous to spend that much money to be a vendor, especially not knowing what to expect for foot traffic and wondering if I brought enough product. I can’t wait to see how it works out for you next year!

    I was very pleased with my first craft show last week. I usually vend at a farmer's market where I'm the only person selling crochet. This show had a total of 6 crocheters. What I think made my show successful was location and what I offered. I was in the main hall. My displays were eye catching and I was the only one in the main hall that offered amigurumi. Unfortunately, it was at a senior center and I had also placed myself next to their crafts made my members. I'm still trying to get my head around the $5 lap blankets they were trying to sell.

    • @camryns_cute_creations
      @camryns_cute_creations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are such great insights to take away!! I'm so excited you had a good first craft show :) And yes, I'm very curious about those blankets, too! Of course, different motivations can lead to different pricing. For example, I know many people who sell crocheted goods more as a donation and pastime, using the small profits only for more materials!

    Interesting to see the range of items for sale. The no re-entry was odd for a paid craft fair. Any I've been to always allow that-someone stamps your hand-easy enough to do.

      That's true! I do wonder about that decision of theirs! Ultimately for us, it did not matter. But, I am curious how that impacts the overall experience for customers, which may impact our decision to setup there! Thank you for pointing that out!

      It's always so interesting when we check out venues as customers! We have very different ways of thinking, so he's far more analytical of certain small details, while I look at a lot of big-picture type of details!

    Are you able to share a space for next year? Did you ask your friends how they did?

    • @camryns_cute_creations
      @camryns_cute_creations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did talk to my friend! However, her craft and business is fairly different from mine, so not all of her experience is applicable to me!
      Can I ask what you mean by sharing a space? Do you mean me and my friend sharing a space? :) If so, I don't anticipate doing that just because we both require a certain amount of space to properly display our products in the way we desire!

    Do you have any tips and tricks for vendors who live in rural areas?

    • @camryns_cute_creations
      @camryns_cute_creations  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be fully transparent: I do live in (or near, at least) a moderately large city, so while I’m personally in the more rural outskirts, we do get the traffic of a larger city.
      For advice in rural areas, I would lean into gathering points, meaning times and areas when more dispersed people come together, and take advantage of that timing. Otherwise, I would try to find one large market (likely a bit away, depending how rural you are) per season at least that you travel to and then the rest of the season is spent prepping for the next large market!
      I’d love to hear more about your area, so I can better try to help!

    For a 3 day show, how much merchandise would you have to make? Would Brite colors be good to use for a show that has young kids and parents?

    • @camryns_cute_creations
      @camryns_cute_creations  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For me, I usually do the majority of my prep in bulk pre-season and then bring it all to my events, so it's hard to say! If you're only prepping for one event, I would consider what your sales goal is for that event, and then make double that sales goal in terms of inventory! That would ensure you have enough product even if you far surpass your sales goal!
      Bright colors are certainly more attractive to most children, but I would think more of which colors go best with your brand!
