I’m sharing from experience, I’ve made all of these mistakes in my business!😅😂 What’s your biggest display mistake you can share with us?⬇️❤ Always love learning together!❤
Yes! More branding videos please. I'm a graphic designer but branding is my weak point. My brand doesn't feel like it relates to the style of stuff I make. I used neon green for my logo, but my stuff is a bit vintage feel. I'm having a hard time connecting the dots of what i make, the brand, and display. ❤
I have pink, black and white branding, but all my toys are lots of different colours. Should I be doing more muted colours? I find bright colours attract kids. Love to hear your thoughts .15:25
This video is great! Branding is so important and this video is so informative. 2023 was my first year of taking my small business to craft shows. While I had a great year with it, and am definitely blessed it was so great, there is definitely so much I still need to learn. I’ve definitely made some mistakes, especially with the over use of decor pieces (definitely had a few incidents of people thinking my decor was items for sale). I have no background in marketing or graphic design, but this year I have a banner, business cards, and making my tags/earring cards with my brand. It definitely does create a sense of professionalism and consistency which is definitely appealing to the consumers eye which will draw them into your booth. Thank you SO much for all of these videos, you’re so easy to listen to and I’ve learned so much from you over the past year!!
YES on that second point! Last year I did a Christmas market. I didn't have much time to prep and my items are quite small, so I used a lot of decorations to fill in the large table they gave me. Some people thought the decorations were my products 🙈
Aww, yaaay Peyton!! His little chicken looks AMAZING 😍😍 you guys could definitely sell it! I think you guys should keep his chicken as his first memorabilia ❤️
Thanks so much for this video! I love your channel 🥰 I'll be doing my first market in June & I'm super excited 😆 I have a question- do you think its better to have your "checkout area" in the front or back of your booth? I will have a 10x10 booth & my idea is to have a small table at the front right side as a checkout table. But I'd love to know what you think works/looks better 🤔💖
I would say l started my business February 23 it was my friends birthday l gave her a strawberry l crocheted and then people started asking me to crochet things l have sold things before but not but a few costumes
Thank you for sharing your expertise with us little people over here 🤣😝 I’ve been wanting to get through my business cards so badly because I have changed branding but money… I have a booth coming up in a month and now I’m thinking…. Better get to ordering some new cards and just toss those old ones!
Use the old ones to post on a bulletin board at Laundry mats, etc, where you need to leave a larger number of them to use them up without paying for more right away. Our local Joann’s has a bulletin board, and I have seen them around other places.
Great video. I went to a show and forgot my clothing rack and had to lay my clothes flat on the table. It was very windy and they kept blowing off the table. Can you please link or tell us more about the battery thing you use and you found it? Love your videos!
Thank you for this video Camryn! The biggest display mistake I struggle with is too many inventory options. I just started my handmade business last year and so I am trying all these new patterns and seeing what sells especially in different seasons. I have taken your advise from previous videos and tried scaling back my color options as a first step to only 4-6 colors per inventory type. Then for the holidays I gifted away most of what wasn’t selling. But I still have so many new products and patterns and ideas I want to try this year that I think are better suited for my target audience. A lot of them are items I’ve been asked about before or items i categories I sell well in (e.g. more baby related items). Do you have any additional advice on how I can balance adding in new products without making my booth look clutter or overwhelming?
Desperately need guidance with branding! 🤪 My displays have developed through your videos but I end up with so many ideas (have mainly done shows with space for one table and no extra stands) that everything is packed on the table 😂… will work on that this year for sure! But I haven’t even begun to figure out my branding. Love my logo but I think I need to tweak the colors if I can….
When you do your videos, it would help us if you would show more pictures of your booth rather than just watching you talk. Most of us are visual people and we would like to see what you are describing.
Camryn, Question re branding: I recently bought the current theme you see here, but the seller won't create the rest of the templates I want. Also, I am planning on doing the 9 day County Fair this Fall, and it will be my first big show in 12 years. So, my concern is that I really need a year-round branding theme. This pastel watercolor is very spring/ summer to me. I'm not sure if this design is a good year-round theme. One idea I have is a pale blue background with line drawings of a sewing machine and simple craft tools accented with a few vibrant fill colors. A deeper purple and magenta for example. I am not too far invested in the current look. What say you? Please?
Hi I just bought the pricing calculator l, it says I need permission by the creator to use it in google sheets. I can pull it up online but I can’t add anything. Could you help?
I don't do much on Instagram, mainly because I don't know how to use it. Do you have a vlog that explains how to make the most of your Instagram account?
You are talking about stuff but, there are no pictures or examples of what to do and what NOT to do. Telling us and showing us are 2 different things and for most of us crafters we need to see what you are talking about.

Hi Cameryn!!! I was just wondering how did you make your logo? The dog is so cute 🥰 I was thinking of making a kind of similar one but a cat 😊

Branding tips would be amazing, thank you!
I totally agree!
Through out the day you can move your display. Sometimes what you think will attract won't.
PUT YOUR QR CODE ON EVERYTHING!
I have pink, black and white branding, but all my toys are lots of different colours. Should I be doing more muted colours? I find bright colours attract kids. Love to hear your thoughts .15:25
This is so helpful! I definitely had some clutter my first couple markets 😅

Yes please more branding
it would be helpful if you had pictures of actual mistakes at craft shows. Otherwise, I do like your crocheting.
😊❤❤
But do or don't you make eye contact

Don’t be so harsh on her, she is so nice and I’ve learnt a lot from her. Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean she doesn’t benefit others.
