    I am in my 3rd year of formation for the diaconate. I shared this with my brothers in formation - as we have 3 years to prepare! Thank you so much for posting this!

    This is my very favorite part of the Easter Vigil Mass. It's so beautiful and so meaningful. Great rendition here also.

      Praise the Lord at all times.

    Beautifully intoned. As near to the beauty of the original Latin as one may get. This is the first time that 'sung in English' did not make me cringe....really a very beautiful, luminous voice - meditative, unrushed, gentle and caressing the words. Superb and very moving.

    This is the most beautiful rendition of Exultet in English I have ever heard. Thank you.

    In Rome the Deacon sings it just a bit faster, in Latin. But your version in English is clear and full of voice expression. This is what I needed to practice for Saturday evening. Thanks/ God bless.

    Thank you for this. A recording of the shorter version would be extremely helpful.

    Thank you so much for this beautiful rendition. It is perfect for my range, and has been a great help in preparing for this Saturday’s Easter Vigil. I’ve been playing it through my car’s sound system every day this week during my commute to and from work, and it has both blessed me and helped me learn the proper chant. God bless.

    I recognize this beautiful voice, though I can't remember the singer's name. There is a Divine Mercy chant on youtube sung by him. He died some time ago, may he sing with the choirs of angels.

    This is the night on which I'm truly proud of my catholic faith. The night christ broke the prison bars of death and rose triumphant....

    The first time I heard of this beautiful hymn was on Easter Vigil 2010 because that’s when I made my confirmation and chose the name Michael. Named after Saint Michael the Archangel.

    I never had time to prepare.
    From highschool to 1 year of philosophy, 1 year of theology, then sent to Italy and told we were being ordained to deaconate in one month and to the priesthood 3 months later. The priestly ordination was changed to 6 months later because of my age and then pushed to 6 more months because I had 27 courses to finish in one year in Italian which i had never studied before.
    They just gave me the catechism of the catholic church and sometimes I had 30 mins to study the material in the evening and then had to take the exam the next day. I wouldn't even understand the Italian but they gave me a grade just to pass.
    I remember having to travel to northern Italy when I was sick just to take an exam with a professor in patristics which I had never even taken a course in.
    Patristics 1 and patristics 2. I was given an hour to study each and the professor just asked me to name a father of the church from each and then gave me a passing grade.
    To this day I haven't even had a bible course.
    All under obedience.
    That's been my experience. Rushed through every step of the way. If I was rushed anymore they would have had to get a dispensation for ordination because I would have been too young.
    I have never even seen any of my grades. My superiors told me they didn't grade anything for my one year of philosophy or theology.
    Our superior general of the religious order knew the bishop who ordained me so all I have is my ordination document or whatever it is called.

      @dennislansang6965 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He is singing 4 half-steps below what is written. i.e. C has been transposed to A-flat. I would say then that he is singing in F minor (rather than A minor).

    Because of the evil of Holy Orders I AM being denied the Easter Vigil. The Church is closed, End of Grace.

    • @jedandcats
      @jedandcats 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is that, James? Who has denied you access to the vigil Mass?

    • @JamesPetrycia-zj7yq
      @JamesPetrycia-zj7yq 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Pope closed the Church (end of Grace) on May 23, 2014. Just as Solomon Temple was closed for 70 Years, so is the Catholic Church closed.
