The question is - why do most of our bishops and priests refuse this music? When it's shown to fill the pews? Why do they insist on debasing the Mass? A reasonable person would conclude they don't take any of it seriously.

@@kannin5205 there’s nothing exclusive to the Tridentine about this. The Graduale Romanum is for the whole church. My ordinary form parish sings this at the vigil.
Yes, it’s only used at High (and Solemn) Mass from Easter through Pentecost inclusive....”Eastertide.” I think the limitation makes its reappearance all the more joyful and beautiful. It’s properly restricted to Eastertide...the prophecies of Ezekiel fulfilled as recounted in St John’s Gospel.
After the very emotionally hard good Friday observance of the Lord's passion. Entering into the Easter vigil. After the exultet and the multiple readings. When the water is blessed with the Pascal candle. Priest proceeds to bless the congregation. Choir breaks out into Vidi Aquam. Even a riff Raff like me submits and surrenders. It is inspiring but also surreal.
This one requires a great deal of concentration on breathing... to avoid taking a breath in the middle of 'saeculorum', for example. For me, if I have the breathing under control, the music follows without much trouble. But if I don't take enough of a breath, I will be worrying about running out of air (I refuse to breathe in the middle of a word or at an unnatural place) and take my attention off the music. Practice, practice! But it's very doable.
Beautiful music, Is there a way to find some chants that bring organ accompaniment written independently from the melody ? I mean without the melody duplicated being part of the soprano, idk if that was clear, 🙏🏻 but pls if u know let me know
