  • Two years ago, a former high school athlete was at the peak of her college career when a rare autoimmune disease robbed her of her vision and the ability to walk. Today, 21-year-old Kiara Connley is making amazing progress in her recovery, after UT Southwestern neurologists identified what others missed.

It's heartwarming to read such comments. Keep going and don't give up! That's already great. Everything starts with a few first steps.
My husband got diagnosed with Neuromyelitis optica some days ago after becoming paralyzed whithin a few hours. We have so many mixed feelings - we go from being devastated to fearful to hopeful every single day. We really hope that he'll be able to walk again.

This is the kind of facility that I need in my life!!! I have 9 health conditions and MS being the top. My MS specialist is very rude and has no empathy and I fell from high up an onto my right side of my body. Was bedridden for 6 months and he kept telling me it was my MS and I knew different because I was fine walking before. I pushed myself and finally got up and it's been over 4 years and I'm still working on my own. Been to 5 different PT offices and they didn't help like I see in others videos including this. I want to walk right again and I know I could if I had the right people working with me. I think I wasted time and been doing things that actually was wrong and it set me back 5 steps. They even told me the wrong side to walk with a cane and I was to get a brace but they messed it up and cut it wrong and it was plastic so no fixing it and I was never refitted for another one and just so much wrong has gone on and happened to me. This is only a little piece of it.
How do I find places such as yours?? I'm in Raleigh NC
