Un the video below I showed what to do to avoid having the notification of none genuine parts (battery). This process is more involve and will require more more and tools. How to Replace iPhone 15 Pro Battery and iPhone 15 Pro Max th-cam.com/video/yWoaSS7NkWU/w-d-xo.html
Your instructions were excellent. I messed up when taking out the OLD BATTERY and that half circle covering came off and I ripped through that band of wire. I cut right through my flex cable wire. It goes underneath your phone and mine had a protective covering over it. I cannot screenshot anything or turn my phone off now. What parts does one need to fix that? On 5 min 44 sec of video shows a great pic of the inside of the 1/2 circle of tape covering that band. I put my new battery in pulled off the tape. The NEW BATTERY has to come off again. Yeah so two things I cannot do is : 1) turn off my phone 2) take screenshots. I’m assuming my battery was defective and would get hot often . So the backside of my battery looks like it has tape melted on it. On the bottom back side. So it looks like I have to completely disassembled the entire phone in order for this to be fixed. Can they weld that brown band that goes across width wise east to west or west to east for the flex cable that I cut off?
Hi very sorry to hear something like this happened. Seems like the button and wireless coil circuit is damaged. They are one piece. If that is the only cable damaged you can replace it by removing the motherboard and a bunch of screws to access it. It's one of the last things buried inside the phone. After replacing it everything should come back. It's possible to weld but you'll have trouble finding someone who can do it properly. It's not worth it...the guy would have to disassemble the phone either way and remove the broken parts to solder them. On the inside the heat might damage something else if he solder it inside the phone. The best way is to do the full teardown and replace the part. I have a video for the teardown of this iPhone 14 Pro. Be very careful and organized if you try it. Don't pull any cable with force....pull slightly and look etc.... The cable for the 5G antenna is also very badly positioned which makes it easy to damage. It is a cable right above the battery going from the back of the motherboard to the other side of the phone below the power button.
@@ersbit yeah so when I pulled the old battery the Volume , Power on & Off Flex cable ripped right through. I saw that for sale on iFixIt’s site for $30 US Dollars. From the additional heat from this defective battery I wonder if that made it inevitable that this procedure ripped my flex cable clean through? It looked like duct tape on the underside of the old battery. Then not realizing THAT I foolishly put the NEW BATTERY over the ripped flex cable . I put the new aftermarket battery back in not realizing I damaged the flex cable severely. Then I charged up my new battery. I’ll watch your video too but didn’t think I need to dismantle everything and like you said it can be spot welded. If you do not buy the original battery you cut the anode and cathode off the old battery to spot weld that back on. I saw that on his channel being 4 min 15 sec long using the SPOT WELDER. So that Seesii Brand Spot Welder looks really slick. I need to practice welding some samples first. Now another mess is I best wait until my battery is completely dead because that flex cable is a open circuit and in order to take out the NEW BATTERY with that new adhesive normally you use isopropyl alcohol. Well that is all good and dandy to use when battery is completely dead as that is THE ONLY way to SAFELY REPAIR this. So if I use isopropyl alcohol to allow ease of removal I need to be 100% certain battery is COMPLETELY DEAD before using any isopropyl alcohol. The current will short something else catastrophically and do not need that. So if I can salvage taking out my NEW AFTERMARKET BATTERY have to cut the CATHODE & ANODE to that old battery and also spot weld that too because I have that APPLE doesn’t recognize something with this aftermarket battery. So I already cut the cathode & anode to the old battery.
Conclusion, it doesn't do any bad to the phone. When you are ready to try a repair, I recommend that you turn the phone off before proceeding. Best practice is to have the device off before you do anything repairwise
