Carp can actually be really nice you just need to know how to cook them; first Clean it, just like you did. Put it on a wooden cutting board (preferably pine). Season with your desired spices. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven. Throw the carp out and eat the cutting board.

If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

For the people who don't know: The carp are an invasive species. it's actually illegal in most places to put them back in a body of water within the state. It was more humane for him to catch and cook, than the mud puddle to dry up and the fish to slowly die. It was a great video!

Some people around here really like them. You can eat the ribs like pork ribs on the bigger ones too. I have yet to try them but wanna try one one day. Fun fish to catch. Got a spot near me where a guy shot a black buffalo that was almost 80lbs a couple years ago
SEMO Outdoors idk what the difference between texas and other states but buffalo in texas are ALWAYS Dark grey and not gold. Its weird, but yeah.

@@randycalder2653 Look at the dorsal fin shape and mouth orientation. It's a buffalo. Grass carp are much more elongated, and have a very tall but not very long dorsal fin with 8-10 rays. Easy to mix up though!

Can't forget a little sugar and lemon juice in the boil, will help to firm the fish up so it doesn't flake apart. Can also brine the fish in salt to help make the texture more akin to crab/lobster.

Try looking up the flooding here in the Pacific northwest! I personally was in the flood of the umatilla river and had to get across a creek that was flooded onto the road that was 4 plus feet on the road. The umatilla river peaked at over 20 feet above flood stage..

Sacramento. I’ve been to paradise a bunch for work. Cool little town, heartbroking to see it completely leveled in the pictures/videos.
Every time I fish for carp I use peanut butter oatmeal and garlic salt or powder. Mix it all together ball a little bit up on you hook and works perfect every time.
For carp, I usually just roll a Lil bread in my hands til it turns doughy and that generally works. But in. The event they are being picky, if you take some old bread, crumble it up, a little outmeal, and some big red soda, throw it in a blender, pour it in a bag, put it in the fridge and let it thicken into a dough and use that. As much as catfish like salty, smelly goop, carp seem fond of sweet smelly goop. Least in my experience.

if u go carp fishing again a tip is to throw corn in the pond before you throw your line up, also there are recipes for chum which carp love, if u use bread put corn at the top at the hook and roll the bread up
Throw in a bunch of sugar packets the night before then mix sugar with shredded wheat and water to make bait balls to use the next day. The trick is when the sugar goes through the paper packet it dissolves and they can't eat it. When it's on your hook in bait ball form they just suck them up.

Yesterday, here in KY, we shipped out 6 semi loads of hay, livestock feed and fencing supplies to Nebraska. Tomorrow, a box truck will head out that way loaded with food, water, cleaning supplies and diapers. We still have approximately 150 - 175 more rolls of hay at the warehouse to send out there, we are just waiting on some truckers to become available and willing to drive it out there for us! Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone devasted by this disaster. Great job Flair with all you have done to help your state. Hopefully we will get the rest of our donations out there ASAP!

Imma give you my family secret carp fishing bait..... No joke everyone I have ever brought carp fishing with me has never used this and are always shocked at the speed of fish with very little down time in between and the size that suck up this little secret bait combo!!! So here it goes..... Oatmeal corn and strawberry soda and form them into balls around your treble hooks also good to use the corn water/juice too to give it a little more corn flavor they love it. Well around where I live that is :) try it out and let me know how it goes for you!!!!!!!! Also to anyone else who reads this and uses it lmk too!!!

Carp is a muddy tasting fish, but if you put the carp in a cage and place it in a fast running stream for a week (if no clean fast running stream, then use a bath and replace the water once aday, it will clean the fish from that muddy taste, so you can go for a streight foreward boiled fish or poach
its the number 1 eaten fish, the US is way behind on carp. There are many fish like this, Drumfish, Bowfin are also two fish that i have eaten that are amazing, yet are looked down upon. :)
