Hammocks are the way to go but in cold weather you should have an underquilt (which hangs under the hammock) and a solid down 0°sleeping bag. A piece of foam, like a half inch thick, for under your bag is always good. That type of setup will keep you warm in cold weather. A 2 person hammock is always the best for one person. Tips man. That's all.

I have a bed roll/ camp mat that’s about 2 inches thick under my -5 degree padded sleeping bag, then I have a camo tarp over my camp hammock so if it rains it doesn’t get me
One time I slept in a hammock during the winter without anything besides a sleeping bag and I have the sniffles for a week
You don't need a foam pad. When I camp all I use is a pod system that engulfs my hammock down to 15°f. For shelter I have a 10x14 tarp for wind and rain coverage. With a wool blanket in case I need some extra warmth. That's all you need no pad but if you choose you can use one.
I was actually at that gas station getting gas when y’all left. I live out there and I was headed into town to have surgery. Your videos keep me entertained while I’ve been doing nothing except sitting around healing. Keep up the good work

I did this last year in Russia with my father. We were taken out 3 hours on boat to a random island. No food. Just a rifle, fishing rod, and little log cabin. Will never ever forget it.

I did this with snow in like 20 degrees but instead of decent sleeping bags and hammocks we had a tarp tent that was open on both sided and blankets lol it was miserable
