A show I am ALWAYS proud to say I was at. Sweet memories with my two sisters! Sadly, yesterday was Phil’s last day on earth. Fly high with your brothers. RIP Phil
I was at this concert. My buddies and I watched the storm come on the top row. Never forget all of us who got shocked. After the rain stopped and the rainbow appeared the smell of wet hippies hit me like a hammer. I was so high I could see the odor.
Yeah I remember all you guys up there as lightning strikes were happening in the lots, and the announcers pleading with you to drop your arms down . All wet. standing on metal benches!!!
Who could forget 50 cent heinekens and crashing in casinos all night. Those show were great and the second set of this show i still remember. Especially at the end of standing on the moon. "Id rather be with you... With. You with you. Was like he was talking to us.
O.K., now I remember during drums, back of the floor a couple rows up the weather suddenly changed from hot as hell to cloudy and dark in an instant out of the blue.A dude holding the largest crystal I ever saw, the size of a large pinapple, held the crystal up above his head and shouted " "Take us with you!!" Many heads grabbed his sholders, as they also wanted to be beamed up!I laughed so hard I almost peed myself!!!Then a dude in a dress and a full beard walked by, stopped and shouted to the crowd, " Did you know anyone can have sex 24 hours a day?"God Dead shows were 1 of a kind for sure, wow!!
I was at those Vegas shows, always hot!!Got sprayed, thankfully, by the water hoses they were spraying on the people on the floor to cool them off, felt great. Then I remembered the gram of blow in my front pocket.Shrooming so good I just laughed it off, the water felt great! I love the Dead!!
I'm sitting here homeless in New Orleans on an errie empty Frenchmen Street at 5:45am watching shows, about to send off a friend that passed away. Your story about the water hoses & your blow just made my day better, thank you I needed that laugh!!
20 years ago today, pure joy, my first show..... amazing... the people, the whole scene,.... i went to see Steve Miller.... wow... complete life changer. heaven sent. Tyler J Coogan

I saw two people fly off of holding parking lot light pole...They were standing on the concrete column holding pole...ZAPPED! flew to asphalt parking lot ..They survived..Was that you ?
I was at vegas for the last 5 years, never missed a show. I miss it so much and have never found the same experience since. This footage sure brought back some of the greatest memories of my life, thanks.

Very true, I was one of those outside in the lot that day. Drove from CA just to check out the scene and hang out. Next day decided hey why not buy a ticket while we're here? Little did I know.... that there was no way I would miss Tempe in Dec. Oakland in Jan and Feb …. :)

It's so cool to see so many people RAVING about this show. We were set up on four picnic blankets (plus friendly infiltrators), about 30 of us, at centerstage about 10 feet back from the rail. And blissful blissful blissful acid. The cosmic bud unfolding. This was definitely the best show, the eighth, of the 9-show west coast spring tour (expo, shoreline, vegas). Not a truly great Dead show (like 7/1/85 or 6/8/90 or 3/16/88 or ...) -- but one goddamn perfect right-betwee-the-eyes workaday Dead show, steal your face right off head no problemo. It's great to hear it at a mature distance and without the acid -- yes, it really is as good as it seemed under the blissful influence. I love it that Manasha puts in a short appearance around 1:51:00+ with the group in chairs behind Jerry (further behind him that it looks, flattened on the video) -- she was SO good for him, and her glow, bright as any sun. Blessings on that lady. Too.
I was the guy sitting to the left of Jerry. We thought we were buying backstage tickets for andy Williams and were very surprised when we got there. We still enjoyed to concert though .
Really? There are people sitting there also on 5/31 video also. I was at these shows, and very close up all three, and I don't remember people on stage at all. But those pants!
That's Manasha in her scarf who comes in briefly, sit, and leaves again around 1:51:00. Who's the elegant brunette in shades she's with briefly, who stays after she splits
Love you guys miss all the more then Grateful Times I'm going for amputation of my left leg The Dead is the Only thing that lifts my spirit to go on another day don't really have family any more that give a RatAss about me anyways . The Grateful Dead is my FAMILY thank you Uncle Jerry see you in Heaven soon you too Brent
I have a pid on Manasha Garcia at 1:51:50 during space. Different people use those seats throughout the show...some of whom appear out of place. Clearly it was friends-and-family day for the band; Las Vegas would be the perfect town for that. And the old guy at the start is the correct age and appearance to be Bob's bio-dad, but I read they didn't meet until 96.
While everybody's going gaga over the front line of guitarists, let's not forget the backbone of Bill and Mickey. Terrapin Station live would not be possible without BOTH of them!
I remember that happening!!! Was there. It was a hot one. I remember leaving San Diego a day earlier on the 15 and seeing a guy with a rider in his side car on a regular motorcycle heading out at 50 mph locked in for a 8 hour drive. I thought that guy must have some good stuff to ride that low on the 15 for that duration. Fun Times!!!!
Dead Slots. Lol. I remember the shirt, a skeleton playing slot machines. Vegas Dead shows were freaking amazing! Ty, for the memories. My fave was 94, with Traffic. But, they all rocked!
Jerry pulled the one-armed bandit on 5-30-92 and we hit a WAGON-WAGON-WAGON jackpot Sugaree-High Time-Eyes. A 3-waygon day. Sweet. And are you kidding me, High Time and Cumberland? That's a longshot parlay right there. After the Cassidy winner, Jerry could have just Dayjobbed us to end the set. Their work was done.

So amazing to time travel a little bit, its funny how memories are triggered. I was on Phils side on the rail (or close to it) and remember looking at that old couple sitting on the stage near Jerry taking it all in. I couldn't stop looking at them just as I can't now....lol...I never did find how who that was. Someones parents? If anyone knows, please chime in. PS - I was still missing Brent in '92 but it's a fine show.
My b-day was the 29th and we saw every show 28, 29 & 30). I remember sneaking in a big bottle of JD and the guard felt it in my bag and let me go through anyway. He just smiled and waved me on. What a Cool Guy! Hopefully his Karma has come around again. What a great weekend! !!!!!!!!

I got in to the 3rd show with an Eric Clapton ticket from Miami the year before. The security questioned the ticket. I asked him what time Clapton came on. He laughed and ripped my ticket and told me to enjoy slow hand. It was perfect.
Hi my man! im from Europe so i was kind of late catchin on to the Dead - glad to be able to see an hear them on their second Europe tour 90something - and now that YT cut the 10min limit I get all these GD shows ...and here goes the biggest of thx to you :-) for taking all the bother to upload thx bro manfred from germany
I think this is the show that was delayed for an hour because our RV caught fire on I 15 and shut the highway in both directions. Because they were late, I still hitched and made the start of the show, of course!
well instead of finding fault i'm gonna say something nice., to the taper, this is great job filming , such a change to see good camerawork on these audience vids instead of it being shaky as fuck. Jerry is in fine form here , god, i miss him......
Maybe they get the 'gist' of what is happening. Love and peace cuts across all ages, races, and so-called status positions. I remember playing "Mountains of the Moon" for my ultra-conservative uncle and grandfather back in the early 1990's. When I was finished they both were so moved, that they both requested that I played the tune once again. I more than willingly complied to their request.
In the esteemed annu lol s of all borrowed time never has there been a grateful dead concert content ment as was the three song suite of something, high time and Wang dang doodle.
You will see something unusual in the background at the 11 minute mark, behind Vince... a breeze. My god Vegas was HOT during that time of year. In fact, that is probably fans behind the show. There is no breeze in the summer in Vegas. Certainly not in a football stadium with 70,000 other people.
Kevin Lang if you were there....during the drums and things the weather totally changed on a drop of a dime.....Remember, who knows what the weather might do? You had to be there
+Carole Barclay Hey, I remember the sudden weather change, see my comment above, did you see any birds flying in a circle above Jerrys head that show, everyone around me did, but no one could explain what they were or where they came from . They disappeared as quick as they appeared.Flying in a perfect circle above jerrys head, middle of the desert?Wow.
Not his parents. Jerry's dad died when he was 5 and his mother died(car accident) during the making of American Beauty. The song Brokedown Palace is about his mother's death.
Does anyone remember the massive marshmallow war in the blazing heat which turned the ground to a gooey mess?! These 3 days were the best time I've ever had and the best shows for me! I miss u all my brothers and sisters! We're all always better off dead!
Great sounding clip. Wonderful fidelity across all ranges. Phil isn't as clear as he might be, but I'll trade him for everything else, which is superb!
A show I am ALWAYS proud to say I was at. Sweet memories with my two sisters!
Sadly, yesterday was Phil’s last day on earth. Fly high with your brothers. RIP Phil
We saw this concert stone cold sober right after our Mormon missions. Best concert ever!
We saw this show tripping brains and it was our mission to heaven.

My experience too. One of the most dramatic events I've ever witnessed. Poetry writ large. I'll never forget it!
I was exactly there with you. Back row top and amazed!
That is the smell of "home" for me.
I broke a rose stem and my fingers smelled like patchouli afterwards.

we had no idea we'd be able to see and hear this performance 23 years later….trippy to be able to so intimately revisit this time...
How did you tape it and why didn’t you pan around more?
Saaaame 🌄
Wrong.
We had tapes and VHS copies of shows.
I think its through GOD - just enjoy
If u believe in GOD, then just say thank u to GOD - I love GOD & Jerry & what he was - I know he passed; but he lives on by playing his songs.

I think this is the show that was delayed for an hour because our RV caught fire on I 15 and shut the highway in both directions. Because they were late, I still hitched and made the start of the show, of course!
If I'm not mistaken, we had lightning hit a light standard in the stadium before or during "Fire on the Mountain"! Totally COOL!
Whoa. Please tell me you see that old dude and lady too.
well instead of finding fault i'm gonna say something nice., to the taper, this is great job filming , such a change to see good camerawork on these audience vids instead of it being shaky as fuck.
Jerry is in fine form here , god, i miss him......
Great times went to all Vegas Dead. Such fun Hot Hot Hot
I more than willingly complied to their request.
that is moving brother. sweet sweet. 💘
Great High Time!
5-30-92 Silverbowl!!
In the esteemed annu lol s of all borrowed time never has there been a grateful dead concert content ment as was the three song suite of something, high time and Wang dang doodle.
Ss
You're welcome
Fire fam!!
jerry wearing the John Daly golf pants again. sweet

My 1st Dead show!
Did Steve Miller Band Open that year? If so, mine too. The best!

I love Las Vegas
that is so cool! I was just wondering!
Fun fact: This was a benefit concert for the NAARP.😆
shake it now sugaree...great memories...
Best part starts at about 1:37:15
I would love to know who's the lucky two people sitting behind/side of Jerry. They seem to be enjoying the best seats in the house.
I was there..my first show.. I truly got on that bus that day
Is Jerry sporting the John Daly pants before they became a hit?
Get in the hole!
After
I'm still WOWED!!!!
So awesome that jerry's parents were on stage with him.
Not his parents. Jerry's dad died when he was 5 and his mother died(car accident) during the making of American Beauty. The song Brokedown Palace is about his mother's death.
I believe that’s Billy’s Dad. Or Not. Maybe Vince’s folks
Does anyone remember the massive marshmallow war in the blazing heat which turned the ground to a gooey mess?! These 3 days were the best time I've ever had and the best shows for me! I miss u all my brothers and sisters! We're all always better off dead!
Two years before I was born, we're so lucky to have the dead
Excellent
Phil get his dancey chunk-on during Eyes. Nice.
Great sounding clip. Wonderful fidelity across all ranges. Phil isn't as clear as he might be, but I'll trade him for everything else, which is superb!
