      Good thing I've got videos on that! And I'm planning on filming an updated "How to Fly to Japan in First or Business Class", so stay tuned for that!

    This video is so helpful! I was convinced business class was the way to go to save money/points but those pajamas got me!

    Hi Danielle 👋 - Thanks for all the information 😊. As we return to " normal " I tend to fly business on domestic flights & first class on international ones. You save some money for other expenses that way & really aren't put out. See Ya !

      I think that’s the way to go! Thanks for watching!

    Just flew Japan Airlines First Class from Chicago to Haneda. After wearing my pajamas throughout the flight, the flight attendant gave me new pajamas to take home. They took away the used pajamas. Excellent service.

      I love that! They always go above and beyond.

    Until this video, I genuinely thought that 'business' class was select airlines' fancy title for first class. 😅 Shows you how much we know about traveling internationally! The pajamas were a really nice touch, but I agree that (as fellow introverts) business class sounds more ideal. 'Cavier and pajamas be damned' 😂 One day we _might_ just get to see the inside of these upscale cabins!

      I am sure you all will! First class is a little TOO fancy sometimes, but it’s bucket list to at least try both!

    Really good video. Thanks. :-) A question: If there are so few first class seats - does families or groups sometimes book all first class seats to ”be alone”?

      You definitely can! Though the middle seats have the partition you can bring down to have more access to your travel partner.

    I live in Tokyo and fly ANA business class from Tokyo to the US, but looking to upgrade to first class in 2024. 🎉

    I am so like you Danielle. Japan is all I go to every year, twice a year, unfortunately, I do not have the points/miles yet to fly luxury like you but I am at $120k on my Cap1 VX card. I am hoping to get to 150k miles/points to start my first-ever business-class trip to Japan in style :)))) Yes, I would only fly ANA & JAL. Is it best to transfer Virgin Red to fly ANA? Any way I can fly JAL with any of Cap1 VX partner airlines?
    March you heading back to JP? This June I'm going back too. I only go in June/July and November/December. Do you stay in American-style hotels like Hilton/Hyatt/IHG etc.. or Japanese hotels?

    • @DanielleDoherty
      @DanielleDoherty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For ANA, you can do Virgin for less points but more taxes and fees, or Aeroplan for more points but less taxes and fees. I talk about it at the end of my ANA The Room review! And unfortunately there’s really no good way to fly JAL with a transfer from any of Capital One’s partners at this time ☹️. And yes, I am going back for cherry blossoms in March! I have stayed at some Japanese hotels as well as (approved by the Japanese govt) AirBNBs but tend to stay at Western chains because i can do that for free with points! But that will be changing next trip so stay tuned!

      @@DanielleDoherty Ok, keep us updated on your JP trips. I am still searching on VX portal for cash purchases on the tickets.

    A comaprison should show the experience for every part of the flight, not just you talking. Why bother making a video?
