I thought Nicky was flying first too much, so I looked up how often he flew First, Business, Premium, and Economy in all the comparison videos. Here's what I got: First-7, Buisness-10, Premium Economy-4, Economy-13. If you group together Premium Economy and Economy and then First and Business, its equal at 17-17. So he's not flying first/business all the time. There must be some recency bias going on because I definitely felt like he was flying first/business more often than not, but the numbers don't lie. Overall, he's flying a very balanced amount and I stand corrected!
Based on those numbers, it would seem the people complaining about Nicky always flying first class are simply making up lies then. I was confused regarding all that complaining I'm seeing about him always being in First. Didn't feel that way to me.
Most of the videos that stand out to me have Liam in the highest class, so I've always been confused as to why Nicky has a reputation for being in first. It's always felt very even to me. Thank you for actually putting in the work to check though!
Can we see Nicky flying economy in a 10-abreast French Bee A350 or in a 440-seat Cebu Pacific A330. Or if you really want to punish him, long haul British Airways economy…
I agree with you how about a 3-4-3 Philippine Airlines Airbus A350-1000. Haven't tried the A350 yet but had 2 flights with JAL in April from Honolulu to Sydney via Tokyo. Booked premium economy for both which gave us lounge access at Honolulu and Haneda. On checking in at Honolulu we were given a free upgrade to business on the overnight flight from Tokyo to Sydney. The lounge at Honolulu was OK and the flight itself in premium economy on the 787-9 was great as was the service. The lounge at Haneda was also great for the 3.5 hours we spent in it before boarding the flight to Sydney on the 777-300. Again excellent service and food. I can't fault any of it and would happily fly with them again.
Loving Lauren's honesty about the pillow and nearly being bypassed on the call bell challenge, and especially enjoying Nicky living his best life listening to MJ. Don't think we didn't see your iPad, buddy.
When I was flying First Class out of Haneda, I couldn't figure out where the designated First Class check-in was. So I just went to a random kiosk and printed my ticket, no big deal. Then I go ask a random attendant where should I go to check my bag as every counter has a designation, but I still don't see First for some reason. Morning brain maybe. After I showed them my ticket, it was pretty funny. As if they couldn't believe I would print it myself since I was flying first. Another person came over and took my check-in for me and the other guided me into the security screening area while asking if I needed anything. It was a great experience on the ground. Even more so on the flight between the food and the flight attendants. Japan Airlines' offerings are awesome.
The economy looked very tight as they usually do, the premium class looked more like business on some airlines although agreed with Lauren that pillow looked cheap, Liam's business class looked like a BAs first class, and Nicky's first looked amazing. Great video guys.

Premium economy always seems to have a low call bell response rate on most airlines (it's terrible on BA). I think it's because there's no cabin crew based in that class. Economy has crew at the back that can easily see the economy call bell lights. Business has the same at the front. Premium economy doesn't have crew there by default.

I recently flew Premium from Tokyo to LA and felt it wasn’t worth the extra money. While the flight crew were absolutely amazing, the aisle seat I had in the bulkhead didn’t have a working footrest. It also had one of those pull out from the armrest video screens that was broken. Fortunately the flight wasn’t full so I was able to move. Then there were issues with the entertainment system overall and the new seat I was in didn’t recline. I was moved a 3rd time and finally everything was functioning properly. The food was good, not great. I actually didn’t think the seat was that comfortable. Also the WiFi wasn’t working. If not for the excellent cabin crew, I would have rated my flight quite low. I expected a lot more from JAL.

We didn't fly the 1000, but 787 Premium Economy and it was great! What the lady was saying is characteristic of the "shell" seating that JAL and Air France have for their premium economy. The seat resides in a very large shell (which is why there's so much legroom for everyone all the time). When you "recline", the seat you sit on actually slides forward a bit. They have a calf rest and foot rest. With the calf rest it's pretty good. I'm 6' (about 183cm) and I slept well in it. Some people like it, others don't. Wife and I both liked it (she's short. Around 5'3") but you may not. The advantage of this design is that the person in front doesn't interfere with you at all when you recline. The food is great, the seat is comfortable, and the lounge access was very nice.Their premium economy is actually very near business lite.
Like it when they do try the different cabins and swap around. I usually can guess who is going to get the best class lol All above my price range for first class
The premium economy seats just looked like the business class seat I took on China Eastern last week on a domestic flight on an A330. I guess if this is a trend, this would be a much more affordable choice for a 10+ hours family travel in the future :p
We did this from HND > DFW and it was just fine. Significantly better than Economy, but not quite as comfortable as J class. I have a few J class flights under my belt (long-haul lie-flats), but I have no hesitation choosing this flight and seat again. In fact, you can usually find RT from SE Asia to US with JAL Premium Economy for about $2000, which is worth the $800 or so surcharge for the typical economy flight, in my opinion. Going the other way from US to SE Asia it's like nearly $3k, which is ridiculous.

Welcome to Japan 🇯🇵
Is there a secret competition going on between you all to see who can say SUPER the most? 😂
Love your dress Liam😮
FYI, JAL’s Premium Economy will give you access to Sakura Lounge in Japan
Looking for details on this new A350 for JAL. Thanks for the good review. Though, I hope to never run into any of you on any of my actual flights. It will disrupt my peaceful trip. Can't you just do voice overs like some TH-camrs more considerate about people around them?
Just flow on Jal 350-1000 from haneda to jfk! It’s a 10 rating! Love Japan airline always great experience!
Im in DC so ANA my main airline but Jal airline is way much better on everything! Wish they fly Washington DC route!
