We are all save by grace through faith and the meaning of grace is getting what we don’t deserve because of what Christ did at the cross. It takes a revelation from the spirit to understand this that’s why our heads have a hard time with this. You said it perfectly. well done. Christ is bigger than anyones sin!!! Where sin abounded grace much more abounded

When a murderer suddenly claims to be christian I'm tempted to think 'but are you really?' Then I remember that the bible says God can change the vilest offender. So at the end the end of the day it's between him and God. For Jeffrey's sake I hope he was.

Wow… It took Jeffery Dalmer’s salvation to really expose what’s in our hearts as Christians. If it makes us uncomfortable that Dahmer is not in Hell, then we really don’t understand the assignment that God has for us. We’re supposed to be bringing souls to Christ. We can’t pick and chose who we want to make it into Heaven. God wants all of his children there.

@@baddad9171 and yet when the mob screaming for Jesus' death and demanding Pilate release a murderer in his place doesn't seem ironic to you based on your statement? We all fall short of the glory of God, this is the entire premise of Christianity and God taking human form and taking our punishment on the cross. We are equal in sin, but also equal in salvation. You seem to put God and his rules in your own box, but none of us deserve Heaven, and that's what grace is. If Dahmer truly repented, and accepted Jesus Christ, then he got saved from the pits of Hell. Noah was a drunk, David had an affair with someone and had her husband killed, Moses killed someone, Paul stood by while a Christian was murdered for his faith..everyone in the bible deserved eternal punishment and yet God still loved them!

@@baddad9171 it's not a bad premise actually. God is Holy, the concept is hard for non-believers to understand, but mankind it it's current state cannot co-exist with God based on this principal because we are fallen. He outlines this perfectly in Genesis when he warns we will die if we eat of the fruit. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross made it possible so that God no longer sees our sin but his son. The lifeline is free for all who choose Jesus. And the interpretation of "A good life" is you the creation interpreting and dictating your rules to HIM. That is not how it works. Even a white lie is a sin, sin even one can separate us from a Holy God. Jesus is the only one who did not sin which is the point if him taking on our punishment. The lifeline of Christ is a gift from him, you can choose to enjoy it without him but then you have to endure eternity without him. Basically like a wealthy parent who's children abandoned their parent: would YOU expect that parent to leave them anything after they abandoned him?
and the created questioning the motives of the creator shows how limited our minds are when we discuss the existence of a perfect and sovereign God. His rules, he is God and he doesn't want any of his children to go to Hell, but we chose to reject him and choose to live w out him on our own accord.

I have always been a fan of horror and mystery so my curiosity got the best of me. I didn't know about his Christian conversion and I was really pleased with the ending focusing on that. He didn't escape the wrath of God in this life, as he was killed in cold blood and that was a just end to his life, but he understood his sin and was repentant and will enjoy being free from his demons in the after life.

I remember seeing a short documentary about jeffery quite a while ago, and I remember when I first heard about his conversion to Christianity I was actually happy for him. The Holy Spirit was working in and through my heart because even after hearing all the heinous crimes I remember thinking "Praise God, he came to Christ before he died and received salvation from hell". That was my immediate reaction, but soon after I felt bad because I started to think about the lives he ended before they too could possibly come to Christ. As I ruminated on this, I felt the dark thought creep in "does he really deserve to go to heaven" and the Holy Spirit immediately pressed on my heart that no one deserves heaven, we only receive salvation because of the perfect life Jesus Christ lived and His grace covers us and makes us worthy. On our own we are all covered in sin, just as much as jeffery. People like to separate sin like we tend to separate lies (big lies vs little white lies), but God sees all sin as heinous and evil and worthy of damnation. Once the Holy Spirit reminded me of this, I could once again feel peace in my spirit about praying that jeffery really was genuinely saved.

It changed my perspective of him completely along with the fact that he took full accountability for his actions even though his father blamed himself a bit for his actions. It made me realize he was a lost soul whom the devil manipulated for his benefit to destroy the lives of others including his own. But God got him in the end. God can change anyone’s heart. I'm glad to hear someone talk about this! I saw his interview when he professed that. This was never shared to the public back then. We can never truly know someone's heart, but his words were so blatantly honest even down to him saying he's not completely free of thoughts. To admit a lot of stuff so honestly was a confession that the Bible speaks we all must do. I saw him say he believes in Jesus Christ as his Savior and he apologized to his dad for causing the problems. To me, I felt his sincerity more than some pastors and leaders walking around now. Jeffrey professed his salvation but we need to realize he didn't have time to walk it out and truly grow to show even greater fruit. We also need to stop acting like we don't know the spiritual world is VERY REAL. Jeffrey was so obviously possessed with demonic spirits that used him as a tool for murder. What Satan does after he uses us and brings us to a devastating end, is that spirit leaves (or stops) and our clear mind sees what we've done. Think about people that snap and can't remember what they did. Or even loose men that sleep with so many women because something comes over them and they just do without thinking. Jeffrey was used by the enemy due to his bad upbringing and brokeness....then when his body could be used no more, he was able to see himself. Consequences still come, but we can still repent and accept Christ as our Saviour.

His words seemed honest because that's how psychopaths operate. They are convincing. That's how they get away with what they do. At the end of the day you are speaking as if it's a done deal that Jeffrey accepted the Lord. It's not. No matter how sincere you think he is he could have been and probably was lying. But at the end of the day God is the one who will make that decision. That was the point of the video. This video is not a celebration of Dahmer's conversion. It is simply a reminder that God's grace is sufficient even for someone as evil as Jeffrey. We are not in a position to send him to heaven or hell.

I've read that book by Dahmer's pastor and cannot recommend it enough. I am absolutely convinced of Dahmer's conversion and am so happy to see this channel have the guts to cover this. Jeffrey Dahmer's story gives us two lessons:
    1. Divorce is evil. His parents' bitter divorce emotionally destroyed Dahmer and led him to become a wicked alcoholic at a young age. (His killings were primarily done while drinking.) That combined with his secretive gay life is where it all exploded. (His victims were all gay, with many being prostitutes.)
    2. Christians who have a problem with Dahmer being in Heaven simply don't view their sin as being that bad. There should be no controversy that a murderer can be saved. Moreover, Dahmer had nothing to gain by faking being Christian. He was sentenced to 15 consecutive lifetimes in prison. He was never getting out. When he was caught, he also told the detective everything and didn't try to get out of being punished. Unlike many serial killers, he fully acknowledged what he had done.

    • @couturedeana

@@davepugh2519 Hey, I just want to chime in - God is merciful to all, because Jesus Christ died for ALL sinners, which means ALL people. Atheists simply refuse to accept and receive the mercy of God. But at any moment, you can turn from your sins and your own way, and turn to the Lord, and you will receive the same mercy as any other person who has decided to put their trust in Christ. However, God's mercy doesn't mean that we never experience tragedy and loss. It means we receive salvation and gain a relationship with Him, and inherit eternal life. It means we become transformed into His image as we fellowship with Him through His Holy Spirit (it doesn't just happen! We have to seek that closeness with Him).
Also, there are technically no "good people" as the Bible clearly states that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Yes, one can have morals and not do any crimes, but that doesn't mean we are righteous in God's eyes. Lying, hating, lusting, fornicating, not forgiving, not honoring parents, and not honoring God as God are all sins (there are so many more, but that's just a small list). Hence everyone is in need of salvation, no matter how grave or "light" one's sins are.
When I met the Lord, alone in my room in 2017, there was no one there talking to me, or leading me in prayer. I didn't even know the Gospel. I just said, "Jesus, if you're real, take my life and do something good with it, because I'm done with it." Next thing I know, the Lord showed me that my whole life up until that point was DARKNESS. There was not one good thing in it (and I wasn't "the worst of sinners," although I had my fair share of wrong-doing). But I knew in my very soul in that moment, that Jesus is real, and that I need His forgiveness. After that night, I radically changed. It was a challenging and gradual process, but I was being molded by God Himself into a different person. God is real, and He is very, very powerful. But He wants us to come to Him with an open heart and with humility.
"“Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them” (Proverbs 26:12). God hates pride. How do we explain God’s abhorrence of the haughty heart? Simple. God resists the proud because the proud resist God. Arrogance will not admit to sin. The heart of pride never confesses, never repents, never asks for forgiveness. Pride is the hidden reef that shipwrecks the soul. Pride comes at a high price. Don’t pay it. Choose instead to stand on the offer of grace. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5). Isn’t it easy to see why? Humility is happy to do what pride will not. The humble heart is quick to acknowledge the need for God, eager to confess sin, willing to kneel before heaven’s mighty hand. And because God’s promises are unbreakable, our hope is unshakable!" - Max Lucado.
I hope that you will seek the Lord for yourself soon. He is worthy of being praised, loved, and worshiped. He gave everything for us. He loves each and everyone of us immensely.

Do we really think that only 8 people were sinless and the story is about the animals? All have sinned and deserve righteous judgement and even those living in the days of Noah were the friendly shop keeper down the road and the nice old lady and yes all had lost their lives in the great flood. Noah and his family as well were sinners in the eyes of the Almighty God but favor bestowed on them was Ultimately so that the promised seed and redeemer Jesus Christ could come into the world at the right time to conquer death and the grave and to give us Salvation and a way back to the Father. Ever since I heard the testimony of Margy Palm, I truly believe anyone can be saved. For those who don't know her testimony. She was kidnapped by a man who had already r'd and unalived 30+ women. She was next. She preached the gospel to him... At first he rejected her preaching. And he eventually, audibly heard the voice of God. He repented. He claimed that he felt that anger and frustration he felt his entire life leave his body. He was caught immediately after, went to prison and spent the rest of his life preaching the gospel in prison. I learned two things: That serial killer was dealing with demonic spirits that he kept succumbing to and that God really does have mercy.
Jeffrey was in an environment where he was finally sober for a long period of time... And hearing the word of God. The docuseries was hard for me to watch. There were multiple villains imo. But being a Christian, I realized that I also might not be dealing with the same demons he is dealing with, paired with his tumultuous upbringing. I believe that's where that grace can also possibly stem from. God knows our lives from the literal start to finish. He sees what we can see and what we can't see. He sees the "why" in all our decisions. While I'm allowed to be discontent, I also hope his salvation, and belief was genuine. Because at least it shows us that evil doesn't have to be a permanent marker in anyone's life.

When I watched a documentary on Jeffrey Dahmer for the first time, not really knowing who he was, the main emotion I felt was... feeling sorry for him. He was such a lost soul, he had a tough childhood, he didn't know better, he didn't have any example he could follow. He was a slave to his brokenness and the devil took advantage of it. Satan takes enormous pleasure in attacking broken people. I wouldn't dare judge him. He needed a genuine feeling. Something he never had. He was conditioned by the world to be the way he was and he himself couldn't explain where it all was coming from, therefore it would be unfair if he didnt get another chance. God gives everyone a chance.
Let's not think we are better than him. By doing so, we shut the door to heaven before him and the door is already narrow. Each and every one of us deserves mercy and to go to heaven. We have no right to shut the door for other people. All we can and SHOULD do is help the lost souls go THROUGH that door. That's the mission we received from God to conduct on this earth is this life.
That being said, yes, he was responsible for his deeds. I'm not saying he was innocent. But in this bigger context, the God context, he was not just the body, he was and is also a soul. I hope hope God cleansed his soul and let him into heaven. I trust that God did it. If Jeffrey got baptized and really repented and really had the best intentions from then on, that means all his bad deeds were given to Christ for which He had already suffered on the cross. That would mean the demon in Jeffrey was defeated and his soul was won by Jesus. Jesus gave him back his innocence. I want to believe it.
What I deem quite fascinating is how Jeffrey was able to admit to every bad thing he had done. How many of us can truly do that and be so honest? Well, im just trying to see the good in everybody. He wasnt all evil. None of us is. He was lost but hopefully Jesus redeemed him. Hallelujah!

@MrWesdotcom you are not better than anyone. You were just lucky enough to be born in better circumstances, in a better home, with better genes, better influences, better experiences et cetera Namely the material part of your life was better so you had a better start and you also had it easier for that reason. Yet, as you and all of us are sinners, you and i and everybody else have a possibility to fall like Jeffrey did. And you would be surprised what you are capable of if a were put in certain circumstances. Read, for example, about psychological studies, of which there are many, what people who are generally "good respectable people" are capable of doing when given an oppprtunity. It is interesting and shows how we are not fully in control of what we do and think.
But you should ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit because you clearly dont see beyond the earthly dimension.
You imply you are a good human being. How is that measured btw? And Jesus said you do not enter the kingdom of heaven for your good deeds. Yes, they are important. But it's not because of good deeds that you become saved so "nobody can boast". In order to be saved and go to heaven you have to believe in Jesus as the Savior and the Son of God. And faith is not generated by you. It is given by the grace of God. God does it. Not you.
In the Bible there were so many "heinous" despicable people who later converted and were changed and saved. Newly born. Remember that this life is a test so we can figure things out and eventually prepare ourselves for the kingdom of heaven and accepting salvation.
Btw, I have heard about worse crimes than those of Jeffrey's. At the same time it is weird to compare each other’s sins. We are all sinful by nature, since we live in a fallen world and the prince of this world is satan, as Jesus put it. And without Jesus's sacrifice on the cross, we would all be worthy of dying because we are all rotten inside. See: you would be condemned the same way as Jeffrey would be, regardless how many more sins Jeffrey committed than you. It is only through Jesus that we become purified and able to live a virtuous life. We dont do that on our own.
Jesus also said, and im paraphrasing, dont you dare think that you are better and more worthy than others.
Concluding, being a "good human being" (and there so many definitions of it) does not get you salvation and heaven. Faith does. God sees further than you and I do. I recommend you get to know God better. Forgiveness is the key part of christianity. It is hard to learn but it is crucial.

Thanks for covering this! When I hear people say that God cannot forgive the worst of sinners, I always point them to Paul and David. These two men show the depth of God's grace and forgiveness and to me are greatest examples. It is something to think about for sure! Great Vid! Praise God!

Wow not what I was expecting to watch. Not gonna lie this was real hard to swallow about Dahmer but delivered so well. I’m saving this to reference the next time I get in a discussion of the sorts.

A friend of mine went to church with his dad in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. She said his dad was part of his conversion experience and he indeed got saved.

Thank you for your video....never heard of the story till I saw the trailer for the Netflix movie.....I live in the Caribbean. When I researched the story it gave me nightmares for three days....I grappled with the idea that he could be forgiven for such horrific actions....but Gods forgiveness is greater than our sins....and I'm a sinner just as he was...just in a different way......I hope he was sincere

I was happy to hear this, I never knew he confessed Christ. I was surprised to hear you say ppl struggled with this. This is a beautiful testimony of God's grace. Only joy is the right response; otherwise, how can we say we walk in the Spirit?

@@curiouslyme524 It's encouraging that you believe it was! Uncertain on my end but am very hopeful. It's a good thing to see people joining the family and loving the Lord!

I'm encouraged by this. I wish there was more about his remorse, or perhaps his admonition to others to repent.
