  • I complete a Max Range Test with the transmitter flying the Holy Stone HS720E 4k EIS Drone (links below). Can I break the Transmitter max stats of 900m? Well I did. Will Return TO Home (RTH) Work? watch to find out!
    In this video, as I'm a noob!!!, I fly my HOLYSTONE HS720E (amzn.to/3fgv3p... EIS in 4k near the River Stour in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, UK, I try to see if I can beat my personal best of 300M in distance (this is due to me being scared of it not coming back LOL, not the drone)…..
    Filming in 4k @ 30fps, I took 3 test flights and this was the best.

    Budget drones are ok for beginners, the picture quality in my opinion is awful but you can’t expect much more from budget drones. But I would highly recommend going budget for your first drone to anyone planning to buy , great video explaining well.

    I'm new to this but learning quick & enjoying it. Great videos, thank you.
    I've just bought a Hollystone 720..... not e. Perhaps I got it wrong but inexperience...

    I wanted to start a good vlog channel but the only thing I decided to spare cash on equipment was the drone. So did my research and found I can buy the HS720 HolyStone and attach my Hero8 on the bottom of it. My aim was to capture racecars so I didn't need it to be fast etc. So got the drone, started flying and immediately noticed how unstable it was compared to the DJI ones, next thing I noticed that it couldn't really carry the GoPro Hero8 like many of the reviewers falsely claimed. Thankfully it crashed really slow on the grass fields. Last time I used it (on it's own without the camera) it threw itself in a tree during a go home mode when battery was running out. Drone was 30 m ahead of me flying 10m high. It started rising and spinning as I was trying to make it go down and pick it up myself on foot. It wasn't taking any commands, went 25+m high and crashed into a tree. Broken arm and HolyStone didn't want to hear about me as I am in Bulgaria, my bad experience wouldn't make an impact so scre* me , right ? Drone was 6 weeks old then. I am so disappointed and so mad at this money pot that I just went and bought a DJI Mavic Air 2 that does it all for me plus it allows me to have control 100 % of the time... I wouldn't recommend HolyStone to anyone ever.

    My brother and I both have the 720e and are new to flying. I am working on accuracy in flying (still training) and do not worry so much about how far it will go. I do see the attraction in distance, and understand that perhaps some folks are planning to do things that require distance. Hi Steve! I've been enjoying all of your HS720e vids! (I have the same drone. It's my first and I have made over a dozen flights. I have flown RC planes for over 40 years.) A couple of questions....did I understand that the drone did an automatic RTH when your signal level hit one bar, or did you initiate the RTH at 1 bar? How the heck do you move the camera angle so smoothly? When I move the control wheel I always get a big jerky movement. Same question when you turn the camera view left or right -- how do you make it so smooth? Is it the way you use your controls or does your post flight editing smooth everything out? You might be interested to hear about a crash I had recently which destroyed my drone. I was to flying very high for the first time (100 meters) and was out about 300 meters). I hit RTH and the drone started coming back but just overflew my home position and continued. I then lost sight of it in the sunlight and it landed around 500 meters away. Unfortunately I was flying along the beach and it landed in the salt water. A witness told me it was smoking as it landed. They retrieved it from the water and called me. My drone was out of warranty. I conversed several times with Holy Stone Customer Service via email. And after sending several photos of the drone to them, they surprised me by sending me a free replacement! They really are a great company.

    • @2CatMedia
      @2CatMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and Thankyou, firstly the controls are me, not the editing, those flights are only edited at a basic cut and paste and maybe odd filter for colour but I still find the camera jerky but firstly you can help minimise jerkyness by flying in speed 1 or if not just gently manovere the sticks. I tend to use pincer type grip on the controller with thumb and forefinger rather than the thumb only on top of the stick. It takes alot of practice and I guess experience but other drones are easier to manuvre with camera. Just mover In small increments and know where you flying and what the plan is.

      @noviceangler8084 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi bob, I have type 2 diabetes and can get diabetic shakes. Really annoying to smooth flight and camera work. As a tip I tend to rest side of thumbs on control arms and gently increase pressure by rolling thumb against sticks. That way there is minimal surge given from controller, it helps massively to a smooth video and flight. Same for upward or forward motion, just rest tip of thumbs and roll forward slightly. Try it, should help you. Happy flights!

    • @2CatMedia
      @2CatMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm, that could be an issue you are right. Low batteries at 2 bars limits you to 300m distance. But that is with drone batteries. But controller batteries then selves shoukd not limit you but you never know

      Hi, the 4G is just related to the mobile internet speed a mobile phone is capable of. The drone does not connect to the internet but, needs 5ghz WiFi to connect the camera to the mobile app. I looked and don't think the phone you mentioned is 5ghz WiFi comparable.
      Just check that the mobile device WiFi network is 802.11ac comparable by looking up the specifications online.

      Then take it out of beginners mode and move sliders for hieght and distance to what you need and I usually put return to Home to 50 metres which is generally high enough to go over mode trees. Best way to check us send drone upwards to say 50 metres then turn around using the left stuck to survey your surroundings and head a way that seems better for that height. But I usually don't have issues with 50 metres. You do have to take into account inclines etc of the land before you.

    • @2CatMedia

      There was a limit put in the previous app version for some reason. But if you left the slider for distance or altitude alone and just turned off beginners mode it would then be unlimited as far as the range of the drone itself. Well the video part on device will normally cut out about 400+ metres. I not used the new updated app yet as mine keeps closing. Be mindful of how you positioning the antennas. Remember the left antenna as you look at it is the o e that is real. The left antenna should either be pointing straight out like Holystone suggest or pointing down as that works for me. Make sure you pointing controller towards drone when flying.
